“I'd Move In If They'd Let Me”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2010

The food here is wonderful. It can get a little pricey but then they don't skimp on quality or portions. (No harm in sharing) They offer both Vietnamese and Korean which is wonderful for a person like me that enjoys spicy. The owner, wait staff and cook are friendly and quick to serve you. They not only have detailed descriptions of the food but pictures that really look like what they serve. It smells so good sometimes I want to take them home and have them cook for me.

“a cute little spot”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2009

This is average Vietnamese food served in a nice little restaurant located in a shopping center. We had a choice of tables and opted for one by the window.
Our server was sweet and gave us plenty of time to make our selections--we never felt rushed.
My husband enjoyed the crab and asparagus soup. We shared shrimp curry with carrots, broccoli, bamboo shoots and onions. Also a plate of sizzling beef which we literally heard being carried out of the kitchen. It had bamboo shoots, mushrooms, baby corn, Chinese cabbage. Steamed rice accompanied the entrees.
With one beer, an ice tea and entrees our bill was approximately $40.

2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2007

being new to williamsburg, i was out looking for some good asian food. i am from hawaii so i know what authentic asian food should be like. first of all what was korean and vietnamese food doing on the same menu? thats like having a restaurant that serves italian and chinese, both serve noodles. the only thing korean food and vietnamese food have in common is rice. while the food wasn't bad, it was way too expensive for vietnamese food. in hawaii you can get excellent vietnamese food for five to ten dollars max a plate. they also served the pho ready to eat, pho is supposed to be brought out with just noodles, meat, and broth and you season it with hoisin sauce and sriracha sauce to your liking. vietnamese places also bring out with the pho a plate of fresh basil, mint, bean sprouts, and lime to add to your pho. so far the only good vietnamese i've found in hampton roads is pho 79 in virginia beach. if you want authentic vietnamese make the drive out there, its worth the drive. i'll probably never go to this place again.

“Genteel and delicious”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2006

We ate here on the way back from visiting in the James River plantation area, where we'd been disappointed to find the famous taverns closed. But we ended up getting the delicious, genteel lunch we'd hoped for -- at Chez Trinh.

Located in a shopping center, this Vietnamese place has a pretty and relaxing atmosphere. We got spring rolls and yummy fresh entrees. If you want a cool, comfortable, and delicious place to relax in Williamsburg, try Chez Trinh.
