My wife and I while visiting historic Williamsburg discovered Seafare. We were pleasantly surprised at how elegant and sophisticated the staff and restaurant were, formal table clothe and a wonderful and efficient service staff. The food was good but not exceptional. My wife had the crab cakes and I had the seafood platter. We consider ourselves seafood snobs because we are from DC and grew up with blue crabs and "Maryland" style crab cakes. We enjoyed the fact that the crab cakes were made from lump meat and no fillers, the problem was the seasoning, crabs require obay seasoning not rosemary and thyme! The calamari was delicious as well as the oysters. Service was superior and based on that alone we will revisit the Seafare again.
