The tour was interesting. The beer tasting was fun. A limited edition beer which had been aged in bourbon barrels was knock your socks off amazing. A nice way to spend part of an afternoon.

I have visited the Alewerks taproom several times and have enjoyed every visit. If you love supporting local Virginia breweries, then stopping here is a must! I love all of the beers, but the pumpkin ale, coffeehouse stout, caledonia, and Drake Tail are personal favorites.

My husband and I love to find local breweries when we travel and I found this place here on Tripadvisor. It did not disappoint! We got a sneak peak at their offerings when we went to Busch Gardens. They were serving the Tavern Ale on tap and we loved it. We couldn't wait to go to the brewery itself and sample their other offerings. Don't be worried when you realize it is located in an industrial park. You will soon be won over! For $4 you can do a flight sampling of their tap offerings of the day. The employees are knowledgeable and friendly. We left with two growlers and some bottles. If your there in the fall, try the Pumpkin Ale! It was voted #2 Pumpkin Ale in the country. This is a must see for all brew lovers in Williamsburg!

We had ordered "Aleworks" brews in several restaurants in Wiilliamsburg so were delighted when we found the taproom. We tried to go for dinner, but they don't have a restaurant so we stayed and sampled their brews. It was so much fun, they had many on tap, the staff was professional and friendly. Their pumpkin ale was awesome, and I don't usually like flavored beers. Great fun, if you like to sample ales, don't miss this. By the way, they gave us a recommendation for dinner, which we took, and it was awesome....another review for that...

My wife and I love going to the brewery to see what beers are on tap that day. The prices are good and the beers are even better! They have tours or just tastings which are always fun. All the people that work there are extremely friendly and informational. We stop here every time we are in town, and each time leave smiling! Thanks to everyone that works there.
