“Ford's Colony Marriott Club - great rooms”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

We were staying in a timeshare unit. The buildings and grounds were beautiful and well-maintained. The foyer and halls to the rooms were clean and well-decorated (and cool). The two-room unit that we stayed in was clean and fresh and the décor very pleasing. It was so nice to come in after a long day of sight-seeing and be able to come into cool, clean and fresh-smelling rooms and just relax. The bedrooms were very roomy with plenty of closet space and large bath areas. The beds were so comfortable that we had trouble getting up in the mornings. We didn't have time to check-out the pool and we're not golfers so are unable to comment on those.

The only complaint - we didn't receive the wake-up call that we requested. Fortunately, we woke up just 10 minutes past the wake-up time we'd requested.

We stayed here on an exchange and loved it. The grounds are beautiful! The pool is indoor-outdoor which is great for a rainy day and in cooler weather. We didn't use it but they had a small movie theater at the resort that played movies several times a day. If you didn't want to go, you could simply watch the same movie on channel 99. We had a two bedroom suite. Everything looked new and there were no issues that others had mentioned with mold, things being broken, etc. We didn't hear anyone in the other suites and the only noise we heard were people in the hallway going in or out of their door. There is no restaurant but we had a hamburger from the Market Cafe on premise and it was surprisingly good. We would definitely stay again!

“Great accommodations”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

I think the Marriott is a great place to stay at Ford's Colony, especially if you have a family visit. That said the golf courses are ok and the restaurant at the clubhouse fine, but the the courses have not been in the best of shape. It is certainly well worth playing there, but do yourself a favor and go to Golden Horseshoe for a much better golf experience.

“Disappointed in condition of golf course”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

Played two courses and the greens were terrible on each hole on both, along with fairways being brown.Third course was closed for repair.
Would recommend the pro shop inform guests of these poor conditions.
