I give this overall a 3 but for the price it really deserves a 4; it is an excellent value at $35. It was off-season, but William and Mary's homecoming, so there was demand for rooms in town. I found the room clean, the beds OK, and everything overall OK. Nothing fantastic, but all acceptable. Which is more than I really expected for the price - I have been very disappointed at rooms costing 2x as much.
There is a train that goes by at night that you hear as a low, deep rumble, like a not-too-distant thunder rumble. It was not that often - once at night and once in the morning while I was awake, and it did not wake me up at night.
The innkeeper was very friendly and seemed to care.More
