We are from the west and so Colonial Williamsburg is a unique and rare experience for us. We stayed at the Brick House shop. It was just steps from the Main Street in Colonial Williamsburg. The location was phenomenal, especially with a baby that needed frequent breaks. The house and furnishings were charming. It appears that the home has been renovated to comport with modern traveler requirements, but minimally so as to maintain the historic aspects of the home. It is creaky and noisy. After the ghost walk tour, my daughter was convinced that the place was haunted and couldn't sleep upstairs by herself. It merely added to the ambience. The service was great in spite of the distance from the hotel. We LOVED it and would go back in a heartbeat.
