30 miles of hiking. Hilly in parts. Very nice biking trails, horse trails and great views of the York River. Very helpful staff. Visitors center with gift shop. Beach area and lots of fishing. If you like to hike but enjoy easy to moderate trails, this park is for you. No cabins or camping though but you can stay a short distance away in Williamsburg.

Great place to hike, fish, ride a bike or just relax by the river. We enjoyed our short hike with our dog. Plenty of trails to choose from. You will really feel like hiking in the forest.

The government shut down closed portions of the parks so we were unable to visit some places, but the places we were able to get to were awesome. Wheelchair accessible to some degree, as the paths were very bogged down by rain.

The Taskinas Creek Hiking Trail is 2.0 miles with multiple benches and overlooks. It is the best trail as it is for hiking only which allows for more solitude. Most other trails are multi-use and share hiking with cyclists and horses so are more busy.

Will return for some of the other trails, beach combing and the Visitor Center with hands on wildlife artifacts.

A strategic location for so much American History. A significant area of important battles during the Revolutionary and Civil War.
