“Great look into the past”
Reviewed August 6, 2014

Amazing how British governors lived in relative splendor while patriots struggled to survive day to day. The weapon display in the entrance hall was mind boggling.W hat a display of arrogance! To have recaptured this look into history is just one of the may wonders of Colonial Williamsburg.

We really liked this tour, our guide Marsha was really engaging and kept your interest. My only complaint is that it felt rushed.

“Interesting Working View of Local Governance”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

The Palace is a must see stop when touring Colonial Williamsburg. The working kitchen and garden were one of the highlights for me. The smells and sights of what was common fare for the era was enticing and enlightening. The building, as with most of Williamsburg, is a 1930s reconstruct, but authentic in décor and design. It centers on the English nobles that ruled the area before the war.

“Must see!”
Reviewed August 4, 2014

Beautiful place. House tour is rather short but the guide we had was tremendous and so patient with our questions and knowledgeable of the area. Stay afterwards to explore the gardens behind the palace.
