We've been before, but this time we were lucky to have an excellent guide and a small group, so were able to get a more personalized tour. The guide was upbeat, describing the history of the palace and its residents, throwing in bits of gossip and seasonal information, readily answering questions. In keeping with the times, the furniture is somewhat sparse, but interesting. The gardens and outbuildings are well worth a visit although here a few of the interpreters seemed a bit jaded and less interested in visitors.
