This B&B is just across Lafayette Street from CW and less than a 5 minute walk to the Capitol building, jail and Christiana Campell's. It is the only property that I am aware of, that is on this side of CW which makes it a very quiet place to stay. A one mile walk up DoG street has you in the hustle and bustle of Merchant's square if you are looking for more activity, all without having to worry about moving the car.
We were welcomed and offered a glass of iced tea upon our arrival. We stayed in the Nicholson room, just inside the front door to the left. The room has 2 chairs, a sofa, a queen 4 poster, a closet and a bathroom with shower. It was quiet and comfortable and we enjoyed having the porch for morning breakfast and a glass of wine it the evening. The hummingbirds were particularly entertaining in the mornings.
Breakfast morning #1 was waffles topped with whipped cream and fruit, sausage links, OJ and your choice of coffee or tea. Morning #2 was individual baked egg soufflés with meat, cheese and veggies, sliced oranges and a slice of cinnamon bread accompanied again by OJ and coffee or tea.
Our hosts were pleasant and we plan on visiting again.
