The owners were absent, but a lady gave us a friendly welcome.
Thought it was cluttered rather than cosy, and the publicised private porch was a bit of a stark shedlike area with a stale smell.
Oviously the proprietors have put in a great deal of effort, but it just didn't have the homely feel that prior reviews led us to expect.
Don't want to be over critical, but it would have been good to have a TV, radio , phone ,and coffee facility tucked away somewhere - that and no papers made us feel a little cut off.
Location is excellent and we slept well. Alot of effort went into the breakfst served in the room, but fruits, souffles with syrup and sausages don't suit most European palates.
Overall, pretty enjoyable, but the list of things not to do we found a little authoritarian and petty.
