We went this past weekend to celebrate our last getaway before our baby comes in December. We chose the Woodlands based on great reviews and it being an official Williamsburg hotel. It did not disappoint! Check in was easy, the gentleman helped us get exactly the room we wanted and we upgraded to a suite. The suite was wonderful!! There was a separate living room, small kitchen and TVs in both living room and bedroom. It overlooked the pool and had big picture windows with lots of natural light. And best of all, it was so clean!! I am so picky about hotels because of cleanliness, and I was very impressed with the cleanliness here. We spent more time at the hotel than we thought we would, since it was so nice. The pool and splash pad was wonderful, so much fun and clean. There are things to do on the grounds of the hotel like mini golf, outdoor games, and you can easily stroll to the visitor center (it's right next to the hotel on a nice walking path). The restaurant was ok, nothing special but the pizza was fine and not expensive. Breakfast is continental with cereal, fruit, waffle makers, yogurt, breads and juice. It would have been awesome if there were hot items but it's free so not complaining :) Coffee and tea in the lobby all the time, they also have a small game room and small gift shop. Colonial Williamsburg is about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel but there are shuttles that drop off and pick up very frequently (also for Busch Gardens). Also, they accept pets for only $25 per night (one of the lowest pet fees in town) and we got the Colonial Williamsburg package so it was a great deal with tickets and mugs. We loved our stay and will definitely come back!

I don't do a ton of business or personal travel but enough to know that this was a nice hotel at a fantastic price. The restaurant/bar and meeting rooms were nice, the entire place felt like its own little community, plenty of parking and the shuttle to and from town was an additional plus. I'd definitely stay there again.

Front desk personnel were very personable, friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is convenient to the Colonial Williamsburg, Williamsburg Lodge and Conference Center, restaurants, and outlet center.

We have been bringing my 82 year old mother to Williamsburg for greater than 15 years for her birthday. One of the pleasures we like with our experience is that we start our day with the delicious hot breakfast at the hotel. We were quite disappointed that they have decided to remove the eggs and sausage from the choices . You now have only standard fare (lots of cereal, bagels, and muffins.) I felt that the Williamsburg properties had always been a cut above the regular hotels in the area. Now you have to go next door and pay for any hot food you may want. Such a disapointment!

We loved everything about this hotel... it offers so much and is a great place to stay while visiting Williamsburg. The lobby is welcoming and spacious. The rooms are comfortable. The Continental breakfast is a cut above. But the beds. Yikes... our room had two doubles and one was so bad it made all kinds of noises just sitting on it and you could feel the springs. My back was hurting halfway through the night. The other bed a bit better, but both need replacing. This would be my only hesitation in returning.
