This was not at all what I expected. I was expecting an old hotel with character and antiques. Instead it is quite modern and hold numerous weddings and conventions.

We had a room in the Tazewell building. Most of those rooms circle a courtyard (where I assume they hold events). The rooms have a balcony with rocking chairs. Since it was 100 degrees and stormy, we didn't use the balcony at all; thankfully there were good shutters separating it from the room!

Our room had a fireplace, sofa, cardtable-sized table, and lounge chair. Also a refrigerator. Keurig coffee maker. Amazing the room was cool! 65 degrees! And, AC was relatively quiet! The room was relatively large, as was the bath and closet/dressing area. Only thing I can fault is that the bed could have been more comfortable (as could he chairs), and that the lighting could have used more wattage. Housekeeping was good, toiletries Lavena scented.

Since we were their for a business event, we had several meals served by their catering; after one, I was ready to move on. The food was OK, as was the service, but the variety was lacking. For example, all four of our breakfasts were almost identical.

A block away from Williamsburg old town. The spa was wonderfully set up with professional staff!

My husband and I stayed three nights at the Williamsburg Lodge during our recent trip. The accommodations were great! We were on the first floor in the Nicholas Guest House. The room size was not too small and the furnishings were very tasteful and along the lines of the 'colonial' theme. Our room had a flat panel TV located in a wardrobe cabinet. Just a tip. . .when the doors open you can slide them right into the cabinet. Also, there is a small refrigerator in the cabinet under the TV. Although, there is no continental breakfast, the Lodge does have a dining room where breakfast can be purchased. Just outside the dining area there is a small stand where you can get your morning coffee or tea.

The location of the Lodge is absolutely great. Just walk across the parking area and you are in the Colonial Williamsburg market area. There are no worries about trying to find parking and dealing with traffic.

Our only dislike was a little bit of noise we heard while in our room. The room must of been under or near the stairs because you could hear when guest were going up and down the stairs!

I would definitely recommend the Williamsburg Lodge. We will be back the next time we vacation in Colonial Williamsburg!

We stayed for three nights in the Tyler Guest House with our grandson. Our first-floor room was comfortable in every way--quiet, well furnished with enough seating and lighting, nice bathroom. Our Historic Triangle package included breakfast, which we enjoyed thoroughly because there was plenty to choose from. The pools at the spa are terrific and felt good during this very hot week. We found the entire staff to be friendly and helpful. We hadn't been to Williamsburg in years, and now we'd like to return. I'm not sure why some reviews here are negative.

Again, all we are looking for is a clean, comfortable, safe place to stay with a good pool. We found it here & thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I loved the fact that we were able to check in before 12:00, with no problems. The room was ready & I was thrilled that they said we could come on in, when I called them to check on this. I haven't found many hotels that will do this. It was somewhat hard to navigate the area, as we were in the "dreaded" Tazewell? part, but honestly, it was really just fine & actually quite comfortable! The pool worked out great & the restaurant buffets (we went breakfast & dinner) suited our needs just fine, but were a bit pricey. I would recommend staying there.

Wow, what a wonderful stay. We were there for 3 nights over the Independence Day holiday. This hotel is right in Colonial Williamsburg, right across the street from the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club and right off the Colonial Parkway, so obviously a fantastic location. The service was spectacular, for example, we arrived early, but they still gave us an ID to enjoy the property and called us on our cell when the room was ready. The gardens were expertly maintained and the property was clean with no maintenance issues. Our company had meetings in the conference center and that was really nice as well, although almost too cold compared to the 90's outside. The pool was a short walk across the street and had a quiet side and an active side with a snack bar in between. Also they offer an indoor lap pool and a hot tub. The tavern at the Lodge was nice and even had live music. You can use your guest card to charge items to your room just about anywhere including the pool and golf course which is a great convenience. There are busses that take you around town and to Busch Gardens and the water park that stop right in front of the hotel. We had a great time and would love to come back.
