I wrote an excellent review for our stay here in 2012. Unfortunately we did not have an excellent experience this year. The quality of the accomadtions depends on which part of the hotel your room is located in. We were given a room at the very end of the lodge beside the parking garage and the entrance for all service trucks and hotel workers. The view looked out over the parking garage and overgrown shrubbery. It was like going through a maze to find your way out of the room back to the main part of the lodge. The bathroom was extremely tiny with no vanity, just a tiny sink. The carpet was stained and seemed to be glued on a cement floor with no padding. The TV was very small and difficult to see.
If you stay here, try to get the Ashby or Custis areas which are newer and look out onto beautiful little courtyards and the main street. On the plus side, the staff at the front desk and the restaurant were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast buffet was delicious. I would definitely recommend staying here, just make sure you get a room in the newer sections. More
