“A Hotel without WIFI IN 2013?”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

We stayed at Comfort Inn because we were traveling with a group. The price was good, The room was clean. The wireless service was terrible, and we were unable to connect. When we mentioned the problem to an employee at the front desk, he offered to give us the phone number of the internet service provider "if we wanted to call them ourselves". Huh? If are looking for someplace cheap and clean, this will do. If you are looking for a hotel with an updated feel and great amenities, this is not the place for you. If you are a business traveler and you need wireless to work, go elsewhere.

The hotel is about a mile from the vsitors center which is the place to start. The hotel is an average no frills hotel for a good price. The free breakfast is ok and beats paying to go out. I did notice there is no bus service that goes into the visitors center or to anywhere else of interest. we like that it was walking distance to the visitor center and close to downtown for restaurants. Overall a good value hotel.

My name is Jeanne R.

We have stayed @ Hamptons, Sheridons, Mirage, Bellagio, etc..and they DO have EXCELLENT service BUT you PAY for it! CHARACTER, ABOVE & BEYOND, YOU cannot pay for...& this place has IT and MORE!!!...Upon check-in we changed payment method late July 3rd..next day being holiday & banks being closed,...somehow computer cliched and had double charged us ....but not only that but did so on TWO different accounts! Leaving one account (our home bills account) SERIOUSLY overdrawn by many hundreds of dollars, and NO way to use EITHER account because of amounts that were put on hold on BOTH accounts and the negative showing on the billing account. If it was'nt for cash on hand our july 4th would literurally been spent in our room eating crackers and drinking water & we only had enough cash for the one day! The rest of the vacation would have been much the same way being the only banking day is friday and then a weekend till bank opens on monday & holds take up to 4 days to release! WELL!!! FIRST EVERY EMPLOYEE from housekeeping(whom always smile and greet you in passing as do all the employees) to the front desk clerks from Adam during the day and as well as all the other clerks and especially BOB (whom worked nights & checked us in) went OUT of their way to make our stay comfortable and pleasant ....BUT the manager MR. KOSTA is an absolute saving ANGEL!! He started working dilegently and consistently from 8AM July4th-12NOON July5th non-stop...faxing...calling...coding...rechecking...REPEATEDLY....for a day and a half until EVERY THING was PERFECT....and gave us a DISCOUNT too for our problems.....on top of all this everyone here is exceedingly ATTENTIVE & pleasent, cheery. The rooms are clean & comfortable. The regular room value is very good. Location is great. The outdoor, indoor pools, jacuzzi, & sauna are AWESOME! We have NEVER been to Williamsburg before & we would HIGHLY recommend this INN to EVERYONE and ANYONE!!!

Room Tip: They do not say in their on-line, but there are outside entry rooms and inside corridor rooms ...I p...

On behalf of our hotel staff, I am writing to let you know how delighted we were
to receive your kind words of praise Given the very nature of the hotel business, the hours are long and demanding. Day or night, good service depends upon people willing to give their very
best at all times. That's why it's truly rewarding when a guest recognizes our
staff’s efforts, and takes the time to say thank you.
Looking forward to see you soon....

I brought a bus group to this hotel on July 4. In their defense, the hotel was completely booked, BUT, check in was ridiculously slow because there was only one employee working in the entire hotel, handling check-ins, answering the telephone and dealing (or not dealing) with anything else that happened. One of group members could not get their key to work, but there was nobody to go to the room and fix it. Also, this guest had to threaten to write a letter before getting an improved attitude from the desk clerk. The lock issue was never resolved and the occupants of this room had to prop their door open so they could get back in after breakfast. This is a big hotel, which was full, BUT the breakfast area was so overcrowded that I decided to leave, and returned 15 minutes prior to the end of breakfast at 9:30am. There were no omlets left so I asked the server if there would be any more. She said no, breakfast ends in 10 minutes. I said, " I came down earlier and it was too crowded, so now I returned before the end of breakfast and you are out of eggs. She went on to give and explanation that they are frozen and would take 10 minutes to prepare." After letting her know I was not happy, I ate a bagel and left. I really like Comfort Inns and stay in them quite often BUT this is not a hotel to which I would ever bring another group. The lack of customer service is not what I have come to expect from this hotel chain.

Another Busch Gardens weekend at the Comfort Inn. Stayed here a half dozen times: great pools, rooms have been nicely updated (furniture, TV). The only suggestion would be the efficiency of breakfast; especially the waffle making lines. Perhaps an "express lane" that limits guests to only three waffles at a time. Waited for two dads with 5 waffles each before making my two. Good staff and housekeeping and will return in future.
