Stayed in suite on the 3rd floor (rm 334). The suites are 2 standard rooms connected by french doors. You have 2 full bathrooms, which is nice. One room had 2 queen beds and the other room had a sitting area and a fold out couch. The A/C in the room with the 2 queen beds had trouble keeping up with the heat (90+ degrees each day), and it didn't cool that well at night either. I was hot each night but not hot enough to complain. The A/C on the side with the fold out couch was cold. If you can avoid using the fold out couch, please do. It is horrible, my son, who is 10, slept on it and it had no cushion, I could feel the springs. We ended up folding up as many blanket we could to make is a little more comfortable for him. We never had the free breakfast, couldn't get up in time. Breakfast ended at 9:00am. The pool was cloudy and on the day we left the pool was green. Not sure if they only use it on weekends because when we checked in on Friday and Saturday there were people swimming in it even though it was pretty cloudy. This Travelodge is ok if you are on a tight budget. Next time we are in Williamsburg we will be staying at a different hotel, there are so many to choose from. This hotel is cheap but I would rather pay more and get nicer accommodations. Oh, on the one side is a Cracker Barrel and on the other side is a Hooters.
This hotels covers up smelly rooms with air fresheners. Furniture is old and broken. Air conditioner was broken, toilet backed up, head board fell apart and the old television with tape on the back of the remote control kept reprogramming itself. I was told to vacate the hotel because I complained a lot which I though were valid complaints. POOR MANAGEMENT!!!!!
I will just let to rate the lodge, I luv the rooms and it was nice for my family. But a couple of things that did not sit right was the plumbing in the bathroom. You all need to check it out. The toilet will flush but would not take everything down. the tub water was leaking after every use. Please upgrade your beds, plumbing and a/c. The front desk lady was really nice. Thanks for the stay.
