This was perfect for a one week stay for 2couples, as it would be for a family. The units are decorated in colonial style, the kitchen is well equipped for cooking, and there are 3 flat screen Tvs. Also lots of activities for families.

Stayed at The Manor Club for a few days over Easter as part of a trip to Washington DC. Although I wish the weather would have been a little warmer, the property was beautiful and it was a perfect place to stay for a few days. We drove from Cleveland so we were able to explore the neighborhood including Colonial Williamsburg. Although we mostly relaxed, there are a lot of activities nearby that would be great for a family outing. Because we were there the first week of April, only one of the pool's was open, but it looks like the other pool has a large area for children. The one bedroom suite was perfect for just my husband and I. There were several activities at the resort including water aerobics, bingo, ice cream social, wine tasting, and a movie every night. If you are looking for a short get away or a family vacation, definitely check it out.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Jamestown Commons and it was close to the big pool, but the pool was open for the s...

This is actually my first time reviewing - I felt compelled to provide feedback re: our fantastic stay! Everything was wonderful! Their customer service can't be beat! Everyone on staff goes out of their way to say hello and ask if you need anything! A member of the hotel staff called several days before our trip to review our reservations and within 30 minutes of checking into our villa the front desk called to ensure our accommodations were OK. The children's activities were great Easter Sunday including an Easter egg hunt and pictures with EB! The woman coordinating was so lively and friendly - the kids loved her! The staff made the best of the rainy conditions outside.

Both the inside and outdoor pool were open, which was an unexpected treat! A bit chilly outside, but the warmth of he outdoor pool was great!

This hotel is a bit removed from Colonial Williamsburg, but we knew that when making the reservations - this is a resort, not just a hotel! Only slight negative was the room next door. Young kids - up early and just being kids...We could hear a lot of noise through the adjoining doors between our villa and theirs. It wasn't a huge bother - we have a child as well and just tolerated the noise. Will definitely stay here again!!

Room Tip: Suggest a top floor end unit.

The manor club is a Marriott time share and has all the wonderful amenities of a Marriott, a full kitchen if you want, complete with a blender, balcony, nicely decorated etc. very Marriott in the best possible way. What disappointed us is that it had a tiny gym;3 treadmills, couple of bikes, really pretty minimal gear. It was raining cats and dogs when we got there and we were surprised there was no restaurant or anywhere to order a celebration "we are on vacation" drink with an umbrella. All they have a store with really fleece you price, like double of a supermarket price. They did have a small room which was a theatre showing a James Bond movie. A really cute games room with an Xbox and a WII so kids could play. Really super tiny swimming pool. We enjoyed our stay but it was not our top rated Marriott. Really too few on site amenities.

Whenever we do a timeshare exchange we always look for Marriott properties first. This location did not disappoint. The fit and finish and cleanliness of the two bedroom unit was first class. The furnishings were fresh and comfortable and the staff were more than helpful. This was our fourth trip to Williamsburg, an area we enjoy greatly, as the City is easy to get around and there is a lot to do and see.

Be careful when booking timeshare in Williamsburg as that type of accommodation has been overbuilt and much of it has changed hands a number of times. Avoid at all costs the pushy tri-level sales presentations as they can certainly ruin your day and they never take 90 minutes. One of the things you have to love about Marriott is that they don't even ask if you want to participate in one of these sessions . . . Marriott sells itself.

Room Tip: Always check before you book to ensure that your unit has a balconey.

We are staying here currently, the room is nicely remodeled and attractively furnished. Housekeeping was adequate with the exception of a black sock found on the carpet that did not belong to us.

Last night after checking in, a notice was posted to our door that due to regular maintenance the water would be shut off sometime between 11-4. No biggie, we'd be out and about then. We got ready to take showers at 8, no hot water, at all, it was ICE cold. We called down and were told this was the reason for the maintenance. Then I received a call back from facilities saying the two events were totally unrelated. Not acceptable, at all, after being dirty traveling all day to have no hot water. We should have been warned at check in.

Tonight we visited the laundry facilities in our bldg, I stepped in and it was flooded with a good 1.5"'water, not exaggerating. Went back later hoping it was fixed, the water was gone but 2/4 washer/dryers for the bldg were out of order.

There is an activities center, not too many people/kids participating, maybe more in summer. Sometimes the desk was attended during operating hours, other times not.

We stayed with family at Ford's Colony for a great vacation in Williamsburg. The property was clean, recently updated, well appointed and lovely location. We liked the location a bit away from the more crowded parts of Williamsburg. Great ammenities, walking paths, a very helpful concierge and great frontdesk staff. We would highly recommend this property!
