“I'm always ready to go back”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2014

My family had been going to Colonial Williamsburg since I was very little, and I always loved it. I especially recommend going around Easter time--the gardens are gorgeous, and the weather is warm but not unbearable.

I hadn't gone in a few years, and recently went back. Things had moved around from where I remembered them being, but CW is always doing their best to be accurate. On this visit, I found the shoemaker to be the most interesting craftsman--he had great information, and was happy to answer any and all questions!

I always tell people to go at least once. CW makes colonial history more tangible, and therefore more interesting for everyone!

“Amazing trip!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2014

This was our first trip to Williamsburg and we just loved it! Everyone should see this place at least once in their lifetime. The actors are amazing and the town was just beautiful. I learned so much and we had an amazing time!

“Fun visit - could spend at least a couple of days here”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2014

Enjoyed the whole step back in time thing, although the "residents" sometimes dropped out of character. There was plenty to do and look at, although it seemed like a number of the buildings were only open certain days - a multi-day pass would resolve that if you have the time and inclination. The food was pricey, as at most similar attractions, but was not "fast food" and thus better. There is a LOT of walking here - wear comfy shoes and bring strollers for all the little ones.

“a little bit of history”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2014

Interesting, but a slightly slanted take on it all. Pricey memorabilia which looks mass produced. Kids love the open space.

“Spring Break”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2014

Not a time to travel. Long lines and wait times and felt cramped. Hard to enjoy this very historic site. Would suggest visiting off times of the year.
