We offer jumbo scallops wrapped in house cured bacon, grilled flat iron and sirloin steaks, gumbo, crawfish etouffee, Po-boys and one of the best reubens made with house made sauerkraut in Virginia. Price points for sandwiches and entrees - $7.50 to $18. We had a glass of local Merlot that was smooth with full body flavor for $7/glass. We decided to have the cajun catfish po'boy and the Maryland crab cake sandwich--both were gourmet cuisine and ooohhh so tasty complimented by sweet potato fries. Hillary was an outstanding server. She and the other staff were so friendly. They really assisted each other t ensure all the guests were well served. We arrived at 7 pm and all tables well full (about 20). We had about a 5 minute wait. The atmosphere was lively and upbeat ambiance. Music is provided on weekends and Sunday jazz brunch.

This was our second time at Green Leaf Grill, and it was much better this time (the owner was on vacation during the first visit). The gumbo was hearty and tasty - make sure you like it hot and spicy if you order this. I had the drunken shrimp which were very tasty, though the crust fell off a bit too easily. My wife enjoyed the baked vegetable dish - the restaurant has a nice selection of vegetarian dishes. The salad was outstanding - the Asian style vinaigrette dressing is excellent. The key lime pie was equally delicious - though the portion was much too small - my wife and I shared it and got about two bites apiece. The service was very attentive; our server was training a young man, and they frequently checked to see if we needed anything. Some minor service issues - soup spoon instead of teaspoon served with the tea. Also, when we asked for more hot water, she poured it in a cup full of room temperature water rather than getting a fresh cup. Thus our second cup was tepid. While my wife's birthday was not acknowledged, I really appreciated that the manager came over to the table at the end of the meal to see how everything was. So overall, it was a very good experience this time and we would return. They are open every day but Monday. Recommended.

We were visiting Waynesboro to attend an open house at the Wildlife Center of Virginia and stopped in the Green Leaf Grill for lunch. What a great meal we had! The paninnis were terrific and I had some of the best sweet potato fries I've ever tasted. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. Undoubtedly the best meal of our four day trip.

We selected this restaurant based upon Trip Advisor reviews and a recommendation from the owner of a local B&B, where we stayed for the night. We dined there on a Friday night and the restaurant was very busy. Fortunately, we had made a reservation and didn't have to wait. Despite the crowd, the service was managed at an enjoyable pace. We specifically asked for space between courses and were pleased that our request could be accommodated. We were both very satisfied with our meals. As an added bonus, a musician played an acoustic guitar during our dinner.

Green Leaf Grill has quickly become our favorite area restaurant ....we usually eat there at least once a week, either lunch, dinner or brunch and have never been disappointed! Superior quality food, friendly, attentive wait staff in a relaxed atmosphere. One could not ask for more. Great value for the dollar as well. We would highly recommend Green Leaf for regular visits or special occasions. Chef Chris runs a tight ship and is a wizard in coming up with different weekly specials. Our personal favorites include the crab cakes, flat iron steak, encrusted tuna, pizza and specialty salads...and lets not forget their hand cut fries, both regular and sweet potato. Green Leaf offers an extensive menu that should satisfy any palette!
