We stayed three night here. Wayne and Linda are the best. They made us feel like family coming for a visit. They were resourceful with what to do in the area. The B&B is beautifully decorated and so clean. Breakfast was wonderful with homemade bread and muffins daily. We are looking forward to a return visit.

Wayne & Linda are excellent keepers of this B&B. The rooms are clean, sheets crisp with a delicious am meal. They are easy going people with good conversation, knowing much of the local area. We stayed 2 seperate times and would visit again.

This B&B ticked all the boxes for us including that we could walk to a restaurant for dinner. We were greeted by Linda who owns the Belle Hearth with her husband Wayne. A lovely lady who clearly cares passionately about what she does. So does Wayne! Our room was well appointed with everything we could want including a king size bed, private bathroom, Wi-Fi, TV etc. This is a home from home and we were treated like friends rather than hotel guests. Breakfast was very good and although we wanted to make an early start to continue our driving vacation we just couldn't leave! So we stayed and chatted with the owners for a while which was so good.

Give yourself a treat and go see these charming people, you won't be disappointed!

We stayed here for two nights. The rooms are small as you would expect in an older house, and basic (small, monitor-sized TV in ours). The walls seem pretty thin. Everything was clean and well kept. The house is full of period furnishings and decor. Breakfasts were tasty and filling enough that we didn't need lunch. The pattern seemed to be a fruit appetizer, homemade pastry or bread, and an entree. The scones especially were incredible! The hosts, Linda and Wayne, were friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Street parking was easy. Overall a very pleasant stay and reasonable value (with tax, $125/night for two people).

Upon arrival, Wayne took us on a tour of the various rooms, sharing detailed historical information about the house, its restoration & its previous owners. The rooms have elegant Victorian decor as well as historical photos & details that make each room unique. We stayed in the Rose Room and found it delightful. The upstairs hallway has a 'refreshment nook' with cold drinks, candy, cookies and other snacks. Linda's lovely English garden adds to the enjoyment of the large porch with its welcoming wicker furniture. The breakfasts are not only a delicious taste experience but also a visual treat in their presentation. Despite Linda & Wayne's being surprised on our first morning with an 'oven on the blink' - we guests would have never known had they not told us from our yummy 'improvised' breakfast. They are both well informed about local attractions, events, directions and great places to eat. We had planned to stay only one night but extended for another night. A bonus for us were the other guests with whom we thoroughly enjoyed visiting. Upon leaving, we felt we were saying 'goodbye' to family and plan to return for another visit.

This was my first experience at a Bed and Breakfast and I was very impressed. Wayne and Linda was great, the accomodations were so cozy. I cannot say enough about Linda and Wayne, when we left we felt we now have some new friends. We look forward to returning in the future. ~LaTarsha & Joe

Thank You Linda!!

We enjoyed our stay at this B&B immensely, Linda is a gracious host and provides lots of historical information about the house and its owners in the early 1900's. The breakfasts were scrumptious, quiche, baked pears, scones fruits and stuffed croissants were delicious.
There were plenty of snacks around, as well as beverages. The home made cookies were a treat.
This B&B is close to main Street and within walking distance to most of the towns attractions
The Heritage Museum is worth a stop in town. The exhibits take you through a Timeline when Waynesboro's first settlers arrived.
Do not miss Monticello, President Jefferson's Plantation
There is a house tour, plus the gardens are beautiful, It is a must visit if your are in this area about a minute 30 drive from the B&B.
You are five miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway which has many hiking trails.
I visited the P Buckley Moss Museum of Waynesboro.. Moss's art was inspired by the people and scenery of Waynesboro. There are tours at the museum and there is no admission fee.
I visited Sherando Lake which is about 15 minutes from the Moss museum, There are many easy hiking trails, a twenty five acre man man lake with an area for swimming. The lake is stocked with trout and you can fish with a license. There are plenty of picnic areas and grill stands but take your food this is a rural area as far as stores go .Not many around without driving a good distance. I spent the afternoon there.

The Wayne theater in town has excellent programs. I was very impressed with the show I saw called I Spy. It exceeded my expectations.
There is a lake walk within walking distance of the B&B.
We ate at the Green Leaf Grill, the chief was trained in New Orleans and the menu favors that food style. However the menu is plentiful with choices for all different foodies needs.
The Ming restaurant an Asian buffet was also good.
I have stayed at many B&B's This is right up with the best of them. Thee bed was comfortable and rooms clean. This was a super stay for my wife and Ion our anniversary.

Room Tip: The Magnolia suite is large with two rooms. It faces the main street and was quiet.
