We stayed at the Iris Inn October 10 on our way to the blue ridge parkway and skyline drive. What a great way to start our trip. We arrived at this beautiful Inn feeling tired after our drive, but were quickly refreshed by the wonderful hospitality of the Innkeepers. Our room was Hawks Nest which had the private hot tub. We enjoyed a late night soak looking at the beautiful moon. The room was very clean and comfortable. The entire Inn and grounds have a touch of elegance.

We are definately going back. P.S. grab a bunch of the monster cookies, great on the trail!

Our path led us to Iris Inn and Dave and Heidi Lanford. How lucky for us for in addition to a beautiful facility tastefully decorated, Heidi is an accomplished cook. Both are lovely people and most hospitable. We would come again! Thanks Dave and Heidi

I needed a restfull place. But, not too far away. The Inn was beautiful and Dave and Heidi were great host and Katie their dog is a wonderful addition. Everything was excellent! We carried our 13 year old Daughter and her friend and they loved the endless cookie jar and of course all the attention that Dave and Heidi gave them. The suite was heaven. Rockers, swings and just all was totally wonderful. Will be back again. Is tomorrow too soon?
Almost forgot the wonderful packed picnic lunch, good food and great conversation.

Absolutely a fantastic weekend. The owners/innkeepers were pleasant and informative from booking through departuture. Probably one of the most beautiful and cleanest Inns in which I have ever stayed. Breakfast was excellent and served at 9:00 am which made for a easy, comfortable start of the day. I would recommend this Inn for anyone and everyone that just need to get away for a day or two or three.

The Iris Inn is a outstanding B & B. The rooms were a wide variety of different types. The breakfast was to die for. The host was outgoing and very helpful. I would recommend the Iris Inn and I plan to stay again.

We initially chose the Iris Inn because it was available at the end of our drive through Skyline Drive and they had rooms available on this holiday weekend. Our two-night stay couldn't have been better. Tucked into a wooded area that offers all the peace and quiet you could hope for, the Inn is also conveniently close to several wonderful restaurants and stores, as well as other attractions in the area. Heidi and Dave are very gracious, unobtrusive hosts who provided us with tastefully appointed accomodations with plenty of special touches, like comfy robes, a small refigerater with bottled water and sodas, a never empty cookie jar in the dining room all night, and fabulous breakfast spreads with more than just the usual eggs and bacon fare.

We would definitely choose the Iris Inn for another stay if we go to that area again, and would highly recommend it to everyone.

We had a wonderful time at the Iris Inn Bed & Breakfast. It was a refreshing way to spend the weekend in the Shenandoah Valley. The Iris Inn is set in a wooded lot where you can hear the leaves blowing against each other in the wind. It was very relaxing to sit on the front porch and take in the beauty of the surroundings.

We stayed in the Woodland Room. The room was very large, and very nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable! The sheets were fabulous. I am an airline person that travels ALOT, and these sheets, and this bed were amazing! I almost didn't leave! The bathroom and shower were immaculate. Our room even had private access.

The Inn Keeper's Dave and Heidi were friendly, and very informative about some sightseeing excursions. They also had great suggestions about some local restuarants. The breakfast they served had a great variety of choices, which were all delightfully delicious! The tables had fresh flowers on them, and made the room very cozy.

I am also impressed with their professionalism, and that they have the Iris Inn's billing set up to have a receipt sent to you by e-mail.

It was a great experience, and I look forward to staying at the Iris Inn again soon!
