We just spent a wonderful weekend in the Washington area, with one exception. I made the mistake of asking Kevin at the Gay Street Inn if he could serve us coffee. Admittedly, we were not guests at the inn. However, he was unnecessarily offensive - prissy, insulting, and nasty. We visit the area often and we always check out B&Bs before we book. It is difficult to believe someone in the hospitality business could be so foolish. As a consequence, we will never stay at the Gay Street Inn. There are many places in the area that are clean, well managed, and run by wonderful innkeepers.
