Ruby Tuesday is a solid business class chain restaurant with a central bar area, with tables and boothes arranged in aisles around the bar. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon after the lunch time had passed, but had some difficulty following their signs from the Rt 17 bypass in to town.
The RT location in Warrenton, Virginia, is a bit hard to spot from the roadway....by turning south on to Blackwell Road, and looking across from the well signed Hampton Inn, the RT is easier to see on the right.....then turn right from Blackwell into their RT parking lot. Good parking but the parking lot was littered with trash. Maybe they need someone to do some outside maintenance!
Inside we were greeted by the sounds of soft rock and classic rock muzak, which was continual and somewhat loud throughout our afternoon visit. Not as relaxing nor romantic a sound as we would have enjoyed. Maybe others did.
Both the menues are new at RT for both their appetizers and desserts menu (8/2014) and the main entree menu (5/2014) ... which offered a good variety of RT's signature dishes ... several of which actually were new. As with most new menues, there were new, higher prices, too, which makes RT a less sttractive food value for travelers on fixed income, like us. So, we simply settled on their old dependable RT soup and garden salad bar at $9.99 and water to drink. Taco soup was tasty and had a bit of kick to it, as appropriate for this dish. Commendations for good fresh garden salad bar offerings but several dishes were running low....croutons were just about gone!
A structural problem was that all the chairs at the table at which we were seated were wobbly. The men's restroom was pretty dirty....paper towels overflowing and left on counter. Lots of handprints on door handle...had to look for a place to pull it open (used paper towel to do so). Salt and pepper shakers had visible handprints and food flecked greasiness on them from previous diners....they really needed to be wiped off and sanitzed in between customers.
Overall it was a very average dining experience at this RT.
