In other words, this place takes you were you need to go - no frills. My wife and I had breakfast there twice (actually, we ate in the coffee shop once, and had our food delivered as a "treat" to our room in the Belvedere the second time). The menu is basic (eggs, bacon, pancakes, etc.), and cooked pretty well (it's breakfast!). Coffee is really tasty, also. I had the chipped beef on toast the first visit (S.O.S., just like I remember growing up, and I hadn't had this dish in some time - whether nostalgia or not, it was good!). Service is really good - they make you feel like a "regular" even though you are just there on vacation. Interior is "diner-old" and the seats could use some replacement cushions (they are worn out), but the view is terrific - right on the ocean as it is attached to the Belvedere hotel. It was convenient to us since we were staying at the Belvedere, but I doubt we will make a special trip to go back unless we happen to stay at the Belvedere again.

“Simply the BEST in North Va. Beach”

LOVE this place! Love, love LOVE it! From Chef Steve (delicious French Toast!), to Diana (what a SWEETHEART), Nate, Paul and all of them, the staff there is fantastic. The food is excellent, and the ONLY affordable place right on the beach!

They're connected to the Belvedere Hotel, and provide room service for breakfast and lunch there. The ONLY flaw with this place is that they close at 3pm, darn it, so no easy dinners on the beach... gotta head south to the more expensive places with lesser quality of service.

Ah well, can't have everything, can I?
