“good food and a good find”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

We were looking for a different place to eat other than the beach food and found this on TripAdvisor and gave it a try. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and the staff was helpful in the choices. The beef and chicken bbq were fresh and tasty. The cookies on the desert bar were comparable to homemade. Would return for another trip.

“Overpriced, underwhelmed.”
Reviewed April 29, 2013 via mobile

Having been to a few mongolian places In the area, (with warriors winning out so far. Go there instead) I decided to try this one out of obligation and fairness. So the place is nice, but I feel like the quality of the ingredients was low. There were more options to choose from on the buffet, but many of the options were empty or almost gone. Most stuff seemed old and stale. Ugh. With drinks, this place is over fifteen bucks a person. Warriors is cheaper, cleaner and the service is better. Warriors is located in Chesapeake on battlefield by Sams club.

“Excellent if you know Mongolian BBQ”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

I love this place, but I am experienced with constructing my own Mongolian sauce. Your meal begins with either egg drop or hot and sour soup. Both are good but the hot and sour is the best I've found in town. This is accompanied by a basket of fresh, hot sesame bread (also excellent).

At the BBQ station, you choose from a variety of raw ingredients including noodles, stir-fry style veggies, and meats & seafood. Once you've filled your bowl you get to the sauce station. The suggestion is one scoop of everything. If you fill your bowl the way most people do, your BBQ will be bland. Use at least an extra scoop of the Mongolian sauce (I use 2 Mongolian and 1 Oyster sauce, personally) plus some of everything else.

There's also a small american style salad bar, a modest sushi selection and desserts. I never have room for that stuff. Service can be slow, especially when they're busy so it's not for someone in a rush.

Overall, it's excellent for the price and good for people with dietary restrictions because you control what you put in.

“Our personal favorite”
Reviewed January 22, 2013

We eat here everytime we go to the Tidewater area. It is our favorite buffet because we fix our own Mongolian BBQ and there is a FANTASTIC selection to chose from. The sesame bread, soup and choice of white fried rice come with the buffet and there is so much food that you need to walk through the buffet before getting in line or you will be too full to enjoy the Sushi and the dessert bar. It is a little tricky to find and is a car's ride from the beach but well worth the effort and the price can't be beat!
