Where do I start? Well 1st off I was here using a timeshare trade and so here it goes. I had a one bedroom to trade and could only get a studio to trade for 2 people) due to how busy they are. Studio is like a regular hotel room with refrigerator and microwave with sink. We received a unit that was very clean and ocean view(that was lucky)we were told we couldn't get one. Parking cost $8.00 a night and is across the street but there is no where to park so you have no choice. The bed was comfortable but right next to a air conditioner that was so loud you were either too cold or too hot depending if you want to here the rattle of the air conditioner all night. Did not get a good night sleep. This hotel is way too crowded in June and to find a lounge chair you have to get up very early or you are out of luck. If you want a comfortable lounger that is easy on your back there is only 4 sets and they are gone by 6:30 AM. People claims chairs with their belonging left on them very early before pool is open. They do provide you with towels and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The pool is shaded by around 2 pm so enjoy the sun at the pool then hit the beach. There are bikes to rent near by and volleyball courts set up if you bring a ball. It would be nice if the pool was open later than 10 pm for the outdoor pool so that adults can enjoy the pool after all the kids are put to bed. There is no where for teens or adults to swim OUTSIDE during the day except in the pool with all the little ones which is understandable because it is is a family oriented resort. There is a INSIDE pool next door open till 11 pm with a hot tub if you are over 21 but if you are 18 to 20 you are not allowed. They also have activities during the day If you want to participate. Many of the surrounding restaurants are owned by the same corp and are OK but if you are parked in the garage you can enter and leave at anytime and I suggest eating away from the beach for dinner (better food for $) and bringing breakfast and lunch food to eat. Suggestion if they ask you to take a tour next door to look at the timeshares hold out don't be quick to say yes or they will not give you as a good of a deal. We found that out after it was too late we could have received a better gift card to eat on at. hotel all in all was worth the trade but next time I would try to stay at the newer one next door Oceanaire that has central air Also the studios at Ocean beach you have to go thru a extra door to get to your room which is a pain. You open a door from the hallway then you have 2 units a or b units. Not too bad until you are loading or unloading your items and you have 2 doors to deal with. The Oceanaire is not like that. Both hotels share the pools and also if you do not bring a lap top you can go to Oceanaire on the 2nd floor and use theirs, not one at Ocean Beach. You do get free internet in the room. I would stay here again but not in a studio and not in June. Ocean was freezing in June but the smoothies are delicious at the pool bar and the board walk is very safe.

Room Tip: Ask for ocean view and away from the construction going on next door. They also have ear plugs if you need them.

This was our second visit to the OBC, it did not disappoint The check in process was quick and smooth, the front desk saff are very personable and help you quickly forget having to wait in line. The room amenities were nice, realizing that this is fundamentally a time share property will get you past things like not having on-demand movies. But who needs them, you have great pools and a nice wide beach.

Booked this through Hotwire so we had no idea about this resort. Parking was across the street. Other than that was pleasantly surprised. Tiki bar, pools, hot tub, lounge. They have it all! Initially we had a side view room but we talked to the front desk and it was switched to a ocean view. They had a resort next door that was still under construction but they were not working during our stay Staff was courteous. We will stay here again when we come back!

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor.

We had an excellent stay at this resort. We have been to Virginia Beach many times & this is by far the nicest resort we have stayed in. It is right on the ocean and very convenient to shopping and places to eat. We had an efficiency which was ocean front/balcony. This room was perfect for two people. We loved having a small kitchen in our room. The bed was very comfortable and the view was perfect. The pools are very nice - there are four pools and one is an adults only pool and it was just beautiful. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking garage was nice but was across the street & you have to pay $8 per day to park. No parking on site so handicapped will be forced to valet park their cars; this was not a problem for us but want others to know. We did love our room and the resort overall. We would stay her again & highly recommend it to others!

Room Tip: Ask for an ocean front room. Price will be a little higher but it's worth it!

My husband and I vacationed at the Ocean Beach Club June 12 thru 16. We booked our ocean view room through Expedia. We were given a very bad ocen view room across from a construction site. The workers at the construction site started before 5am and even worked on Saturday. After we checked in we voiced our concern to the front desk but the young lady was not sympathic and in so many words said that since we booked through a travel sight, we were not given a good room location. The better rooms are reserved for vistors that book directly through their site. She was not very friendly and never even smiled at us. On or about the third day of our stay, the fire alarm went off at approx 11pm. We dressed and walked down to the lobby from the 15th floor and were told to return to our room, but the alarm was still going off. We never received an apology (or a free cup of coffee/drink) for the inconvience. I will not stay here during future trip to VB

Room Tip: Request a room away from the construction site.
