Description: It was twenty years ago today, Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play..." and it was almost thirty four years ago today when the bands began to play, right here at Abbey Road. Owner Bill Dillon has been bringing the best in great food and live entertainment to the residents and visitors of Tidewater since 1982. Our fresh seafood, beef, and pasta dishes are summed up by The Virginian Pilot's reviews: "Abbey Road Leads Diners to a Satisfying Evening (1983)" and "Abbey Road is a great pub in the midst of a tourist location. For locals it is well worth the trip any time of the year (2008)." Hampton Road's Port Folio Magazine says: "Abbey Road is the Best Acoustic Venue in Tidewater, offering the best and the most variety..." After three years in the food service industry Bill decided in the fall of 1982 to open his own restaurant in the resort area of Virginia Beach. Heavily influenced by the Beatles when growing up, thanks to his two older sisters who listened to their records all the time, he decided to name it 'Abbey Road' after the last album the Beatles recorded (although 'Let It Be' was the last released) before they split up in 1970 (thanks, Yoko). Many national, regional, and local musicians have performed at Abbey Road since 1982, including: Richie Havens - the man who opened Woodstock, Ronee Blakely - toured with Bob Dylan, Livingston Taylor - James' brother, The Ventures -theme from Hawaii Five-O, Rick Roberts of Firefall, - wrote & sang many of their #1 hits, Robert Hunter of The Grateful Dead, Robbin Thompson & The Robbin Thompson Band, Gove Scrivener, Lewis McGehee - toured with Bruce Hornsby, Lisa Noel, Mike Proffit & The Mike Proffitt Band, David Petretto, Keller Williams, Suzy & The Naturals, Catapult, T.K. Llegs, Acoustic Ceiling, Chuck 'Coyote' Larson & Robbie House & Norman Harrell of Snuff, and many, many more...

I should have walked out, but stayed. When I asked the waitress what was in the seafood alfredo, she told me the ingredients but said "don't order it because it makes people violently ill!"
Obviously, none of us had any seafood there.
I ended up ordering a chicken caesar wrap and my son ordered the pulled pork sandwich. Both were good, but I half expected to be up sick the whole night. Fortunately, these two items were edible and stayed down.
I think this says it all.

Price was a bit much for not so great food. Only upside of this place is they allow you to bring your dog if you sit in the outside eating area. There is other dog friendly restaurants in this area so I would probably just skip this one if your looking!

Based on recent reviews, we visited Abbey Road. It was busy but not swamped early on a Friday. Service was great. All the food was wonderful except for the seafood gumbo, which tasted fishy. Prices were reasonable. Would definitely return.

This was just an okay place for me. The only thing good about this place was that the seafood bisque was good. The service was horrible the waitress never listened. The beer selection was huge. The prices not so much. There are other places that are better, have better food, service, and way cheaper for what you get. It was $5 just for a cup of seafood bisque. I might give this place a second chance but I might go else where it's over priced
