We love the Hilton we always stay at club level so you can access to the concierge lounge free food and drink is always a plus we get the club corner king unit not a lot of privacy on balcony but views are great the room was great except for the shower the drain can not keep up with the water flow

Room Tip: Ocean front is the way to go

If you are looking for an upscale experience on the beach with highly attentive staff, look no further. From the moment we stopped the car and were greeted by valets and bellman, breezing through the check in (does anyone not know our names?). A lovely experience. The rooms are very clean and nicely appointed. Spring for a corner beachfront room- the view is worthy. Watching the fighter jets in and out of Oceana NAB is entertaining. We have enjoyed our stay very much.

Visited for the weekend with some ladies for a "mom's weekend" and really enjoyed the accommodations. We stayed on the Club Level which was nice because of the free continental breakfast each morning. We were even able to order bloody mary's for breakfast and had them brought up from the bar downstairs which was very appreciated. Relaxing at the roof top pool was our favorite part of the vacation. We tried the "night club" which is the roof top bar that is turned into a miami style club with a dj and cushioned seating. The ambiance was great but it was definitely geared towards a younger crowd. We didn't stay long. We ate dinner at Catch 31 which was fantastic and enjoyed the live music out on the patio. We took advantage of the two free lounge chair rentals for the beach but were disappointed that they were the dinky chairs and not the nice cushioned chairs that you'd expect from a Hilton. Overall the stay was very pleasant and I wouldn't stay many other places in VA Beach. This Hilton is by far the best in the area.

These days, that is a no no, Internet should be included, period, and of course, I shared my feelings politely. I am a Hilton Honors member to, so was even more surprised I had to pay, which by the way, I did not. Other than that, nice hotel, good locations, and great bar (Catch 31). But until the fix the internet issue, just out of principal alone, I would not go back.

Three weeks into a five week road trip from Miami to New York and this hotel has been the most disappointing accommodation we have stayed in but should have been the best as had more stars and was the most expensive. We had a club room with city view but would recommend to trade the club for an ocean view as we could hear traffic noise even on the 19th floor. Room was nicely furnished though. When we arrived before official check in time we were told our room was ready for us which was good but when we got in found dirty toilet and used soap and shampoo in the shower. We contacted house keeping and they arrived promptly to inspect and agreed with us that the room had been generally serviced poorly and we were shifted to same room on floor above. We went to the Club room for drinks etc and were surprised to find the alcohol was not complimentary and don't think this was made clear in the room description as posted online. At other hotels we have stayed in where we have been to a Club the alcohol has been complimentary.

Next day we returned to our room at 4.20 after a day on the beach to find it had not been serviced which was inconvenient as we wanted to take a shower. We spoke to the house keeping staff in the hallway but wasn't sure if we had made ourselves clear so I phoned the house keeping supervisor to ask them to check the room service. We only did this because of our earlier experience. When we returned an hour later the room had still not been serviced. My husband went to the front desk and ask to speak to the duty manager. To be fair he came to the room and we had a staff member attend to the issues promptly and we were given a complimentary meal to compensate.

I understand that perhaps we just experienced an unfortunate series of issues but this morning when moving my suitcase I discovered a large lump of hair which definitely did not belong to either of us and even after someone had come to look at it the safe in the room it still did not work.

I acknowledge the staff did try to resolve the issues brought to their attention but the standards were much lower than I would expect from the Hilton brand and they did seem to be struggling with the issues.

Unfortunately our stay was spoiled by having to spend time resolving these matters and we will think twice before staying in a Hilton brand hotel again.

Room Tip: Choose an Ocean view room and not a club room. The extra cost is not worth it.

We used to frequent Ocean city every year for our beach fix and had tried Va beach a ways back. We were re-turned on to this place by neighbors who began to go when the Hilton opened. They liked it because it was uncomplicated. We learned they were right when they came. First it is very new and the rooms are very clean and modern. Staff bends over backwards. The Hilton uses the span beach in front of it and rents cabanas, lounge chairs, seats... They give you towels for the beach when you walk out of the hotel and then ice cold towels on hot says come with your rented chair or cabana!! My kids love the beach and so do I but someone always gets restless after about four hours. Well, the Hilton has TWO great roof top pools; one inside and one outside so the kids have options when they set board. Theres a big hot tub, skybar, and a back area that has these bed like lounge chairs there HUGE and very wide... but they go quick. Its top notch, great service. Salads, shrimp cocktails, fresh fruit etc... really comfy lounge chairs and fresh new towels. So we toggle back and fourth between the lounging at the beach and then lounging at the pools whenever the kids get a little tired of one or the other .

Next to the hotels a great stage area with band playing most of the time. Really good jazz bands rock and roll. On the ground floor they have two restaurants. The main restaurant has a side sitting bar and food area that faces the music area. Its a real gathering place and there is a gigantic statue of Atlantis that faces the stage that looks like he is emerging from the sand on the beach. That part of the restaurant has big common tables with fire pits where people watch the bands. THere are also these Huge white rocking chais that sit outside facing the beach. They are there day and night and you can relax in them and read the paper etc. The sky bar opens late evening as a dance bar.
The Board walk that the hotel is connected to it. There is a wide strip of manicured garden continuously between the boardwalk and the shops/hotels the entire length of the boardwalk and every once in a while there is a band stand or a small stage where entertainment or a magician is performing so your not always doling out money for everything.
When we leave I not only feel more relaxed, I feel that the kids had more fun... with less effort.

Room Tip: Ocean front is Different than ocean view. You can hear music on bandstand side but it stops at 10 o...

Arrived to a very professional and knowledgable Front Desk staff. We were able to check in early. The Valet staff shuttled us to our wedding event at the Water table on Winston Salem Ave no problem. Very curtious Valet staff by the way. We were picked up by Lars the Manager on Duty / Empyrean Manager. I have traveled to many 5 star resorts around the US and abroad and have never encountered such excellent Customer Service from an individual. Lars deserves to be commended. I have since recommended this property to my family and friends and will return in the near future. Thank you

Room Tip: The corner King bed room was very spacious.
