I am soooo disappointed. This WAS my favorite sushi restaurant. I dined in or ordered take-out for my entire family at least one day per week and often more frequently. I even made friends with several of the staff, including their BEST waitress.
Imagine my surprise when I ran into her today in the supermarket and she confided in me some shocking facts:
1) The management takes 30% of waitress tips and sometimes more
2) The management routinely adds $5-10 EXTRA dollars for NOTHING on to the bill, assuming that no one will notice
3) The management we getting upset with her for trying to correct customer bills
Now... I never saw any of this myself, but this waitress was always the best, most respectful, and hard working. I trust that she's telling the truth and Sakura will now lose about $100/week from me alone.
**I also have to agree with some of the other reviewers that complain about slow service. Only a couple of the waitresses act like they care. Perhaps the MGMT taking their tips is part of the reason!
