“Andy Warhol exhibit at MOCA, Virginia Beach”
Reviewed August 9, 2012

I've seen the Andy Warhol exhibition in MOCA today and I just loved it! Most of the things I saw there -mostly portraits- were things I'd never seen before. The audio tour is free and you get to know about the techniques used to create the colorfull photo-like portraits on display there. There are some interactive activities for children too. A great moment!

“Andy warhols creative adventure through his early work to his well known master pieces.”

It was great. So much of his work is displayed, informative paragraphs explaining his pieces. It was fun! I got to make a screen print masterpiece of my own.

“Interesting and informative”

I came to the MOCA to check out the Andy Warhol exhibit. It was great to see his earlier work and lesser-known paintings. The muesum did a great job showing the arc of his career and explaining his motivations. I also really enjoyed the interactive part of the exhibit where I got to create my own "screenprint" (actually, a collage) in Andy's style. A very enjoyable trip for a first-timer!

I viewed the Andy Warhol exhibition here and found it very interesting. The main foyer of the museum is wonderfully bright and airy, staff friendly and efficient.

“If you go to Virginia Beach, Go here.”
Reviewed August 5, 2012

I have a background in the arts and although this is a small museum, it is well worth it. Their constantly changing exhibits are first class. We went for their Warhol Portraits adult tour. The docent was engaging, knowledgable and accessible. Their permanent installation of a Chihuly glass chandelier is magnificent. It weighs 2 1/2 tons and is a true marvel. There is a fun area in the museum of color and explore. Children who like are would enjoy this (it's also for us adults!). They give discounts for just about every body (AAA, students, teachers, seniors, military, etc.). The price is low anyway and it helps this small but worth museum to thrive. Check it out!
