I struggled to decide on a definitive rating for this hotel because it has so many pros however, the cons are issues that may prevent me from returning. The ocean view room we were initially given was on the side of the building, as are all of their ocean view rooms. The ocean could only be seen from the room if I stood right against the window and looked at an angle, so basically there is no view of the ocean for all intents & purposes. Management graciously moved us to an ocean front room with beautiful style, an amazing view, full kitchen, 2 big flat screen TVs, and an adequate bathroom. The problem is that the room is labeled as a king suite but the bed is a full size bed, barely big enough for two adults! Reviews on comfort for the pull out couch weren't good either. Now, if you're sharing the suite, at some point, you'll probably want to close the bedroom door for privacy right? Unfortunately, the air conditioning to the bedroom is not adequate to make it through the night without waking up sweating in the middle of the night. There are some noise issues as I heard our neighbors door continually slamming and loud voices (maybe kids) in the hallway while I was winding down after 10 pm. The biggest noise polluter was the fridge motor, and it was so loud that when I woke up sweating I never got back to sleep. So for the location and beauty of this hotel I give 3 stars however, there seems to be some false advertising going on regarding the ocean views and the size of the rooms/ bed.

Room Tip: Please understand the difference between ocean view and ocean front. The ocean view rooms in this hotel are on the sides of the building that do not face the ocean. Also, ask about the size of the bed in your room if that's important to you.

We booked an ocean view room through expedia as it seemed to be competitively priced amongst other average looking hotels for the same money.

We had a side ocean view room on the 14th floor, nice enough view road was quite noisy but not a nuisance. The room was vey nice with a lovely bathroom an nice kitchen area with microwave, fridge and coffee making facilities. Location is very good right on the beach.

This is not really a hotel room more of a self catering apartment, nice pool at the front but doesn't seem to be much else. It suited us as a base for exploring.

Prepare yourselves for the jets, that fly over FREQUENTLY. We were quite excited when we saw the first ones and the valet said you will soon get used to it, understatement!

Parking as like everywhere it seems in America is an extra but only over the road.

Room Tip: Ocean view is on the side, not sure it is worth the extra for oceanfront, make sure you specify which you want.

I recently stayed here for a business trip and the whole establishment was very nice. The suite rooms are nicely appointed with a kitchenette, marble accents, great view, and updated amenities. Staff is friendly, hotel is clean, and the business rooms are perfect for those looking for a non big chain hotel for a personal touch experience.

Room Tip: The northern exposure rooms like what I had gives you a balcony 180 degree view of the inland and the beach coast line. I had a corner room with nice light and not too sunny.

My husband and I were at the Oceanaire Resort Hotel the week of 5/20/13. Our trip started out a 1 rating and ended as a 4. During check-in we were told by the reception staff that we didn't have a reservation at the Oceanaire Hotel, but instead at the Ocean Beach Club Hotel next door. After showing them the reservation confirmation for Oceanaire, we were then told there was a maintenance issue in "Our" room, they were booked the rest of the week, and had no other rooms available. Now confused AND angry, we asked to speak with the manager in charge. The cowardly manager never came out of the office (door to the right of the reception desk). Instead, they let the messenger take all the heat, which I found very unprofessional and insensitive to reservation debacle. They tried to accommodate us by decreasing the nightly rate and providing us a comparable oceanfront room at the Ocean Beach Club next door. We expressed our dissatisfaction with Rudolph Johnson (on duty at the reception desk at Ocean Beach Club) on how we were being treated and lied to about our Oceanaire reservation. We expressed to him there was absolutely nothing wrong with their rooms, but it was simply not what we reserved nor expected. Mr. Johnson handled the situation promptly and professionally; he comped the first night at Ocean Beach Club and arranged for our transfer the next morning to the one bdrm ocean front suite we'd reserved in the first place at Oceanaire. What happened to being booked all week and no other rooms available...?! We learned later the hotel tends to overbook their rooms. So instead of being honest and telling their customers the truth, they lie about a maintenance issue. After moving to our beautiful oceanfront suite, we decided to let it go and enjoy the rest of our vacation. After hanging out at the beach and enjoying the pool and spa, we go back to our room and find our door left open with the bolt against the door frame. We're immediately on guard and my husband cautiously looked around the suite. We looked around the hallways to see if maybe housekeeping was still working in the room..but they were nowhere to be found on the entire floor. Okay...now we're on fire; Housekeeping rolled out and left our door open leaving our electronics and other valuables vulnerable to theft?! Livid...! We reported the incident to the front desk, were told they'd take care of it, but no follow-up whatsoever about it. Needless to say, we kept the do not disturb sign on the door the rest of our stay. We had enough towels etc. to last the rest of the vacation. No way were we allowing anyone back in our room! On day of checkout, we find a bill left outside the door with absolutely no adjustments whatsoever. At this point, enough was enough. It was time to demand we speak with a manager or higher about this craziness!. We spoke to Rae (Supervisor on duty) who we pulled aside and told everything that happened since day one. Rae politely listened to our story and was very professional in handling the inconveniences we experienced. Not only was our bill adjusted according to the promises they made, but we were given a voucher for breakfast while the problems were being resolved. If it wasn't for Mr. Johnson and Ms. Rae, the rating for our stay at this hotel would have been a 2 out of 5, which would have been a shame for such a beautiful place. Based on how Rudolph and Rae came through for us, we are giving a rating of 4 out of 5 for this hotel. Kudos to the both of them and we thank you both for your outstanding customer service and professionalism!

The room was wonderful two bedroom two bathroom suite. Everything in the hotel, ( pool, sun deck, bars) shut down at 9-11pm. Not fun at all for the 21 and over crowd. Also the pool was very little, but the jacuzzi was great.
