“Those guys know what they are doing!”
Reviewed October 2, 2011

We went on the ocean kayak tour, and it was a blast. Our instructors were very knowledgeable of everything to expect on the water and made sure that everyone was prepared for the open water. They were very patient and provided a good time for anyone who has an interest in kayaking. Totally worth going out in the chilly weather!

“First experience ocean kayaking. Very positive.”
Reviewed June 30, 2011

Considering the wide range of kayaking skills in the participants, the 2 guides provided a satisfying experience. We left from the Owl's Creek Marina/boat ramp at about 10:30 AM, and paddled for about 20 minutes to get out to the Atlantic ocean through Rudee Inlet. We were taught basic paddle strokes and used 3 separate challenges on the way out to assess each person's readiness. This was a great idea, as Rudee Inlet is pretty heavily trafficked by fishing boats and motor boats, which can stir up some impressive wakes. While this is billed as a dolphin watching trip, we personally are not sure we saw any, thought the guides did, but I was happy to try kayaking somewhere new with knowledgeable supervsion. Added plus-there are 2 portable toilets right near the ramp for convenience, and touring company provided bottled water if needed.
