The only thing I would add is they are a high enough caliber of restaurant to have table clothes on the tables.

Went to dine here because of the rave reviews on Trip Advisor. While it's a little farther away from the resort area, then I thought (20 mins), it was well worth the drive. The food was amazing and by far the best Italian I have ever had. The fried mozzarella was incredible! Everything was amazing and the service was great, as well. The only small drawback was that it wasn't very toddler friendly. We brought our 2-year old and the quiet atmosphere was easily disrupted by her. Also, the kids menu was limited and contained too much authentic Italian cuisine versus standard kid foods like grilled cheese, etc.
But, that was a small inconvenience to our overall amazing dining experience.

Mannino's is a wonderful place for the family or just with friends. It's comfortable and relaxing -- a great way to enjoy fabulously delicious food. The overall experience from walking in and being seated to the pleasant servers and the presentation of your meal on the table in front of you just completes the evening. As one of my kindergarten students would say " not two thumbs up but it's a hundred thumbs up!" If you are looking for the best Italian bistro in Virginia Beach, you have found it at Mannino's ! Enjoy the experience!

Wow what a great place! The staff was very friendly but not pushy. Who ever the Chef is puts alot of passion in their meals and everything was fresh and tasty. I had the Lobster and Shrimp special. The Mozzerella and Proscitto was so fresh (they must make on site). Our waiter Burt was very attentive and made sure we taken care of. The manager Daras even stopped by our table to make sure our dinner was great. My wife and I are very critical of places to take our friends but we will be back with them to show off our newest favorite place.

This is by far the BEST Italian restaurant Hampton Roads has to offer. This coming from a picky New Yorker who has searched and searched the area for fine Italian food. Service was attentive. Manager on premises checking on all tables! Went on Saturday night. Shared 2 appetizers: Mozzarella & Prosciutto and Fried Green Tomato appetizer. Both were outrageous! Spouse had Veal Francese and declared it to be the best he has ever had. I had a special that I hope and pray they will put on the regular menu as it was to die for! Shrimp and Lobster meat served over fettuccini with lobster cream sauce. Yummmm. I wanted it again on Sunday & again today! The Tiramisu for dessert again - spectacular! Someone in Hampton Roads knows how to make authentic Italian food! Thanks!!!!
