Lots and lots of WWI & WWII military airplanes. Allied and Axis. Unlike many museums' aircraft displays, these planes are maintained as functioning aircraft. They have a wide variety of aricraft, from biplanes to a B-17, and a ME-262. The german WWII aircraft are housed in a genuine Luftwaffe hangar.

“Amazing GEM”
Reviewed January 22, 2014

This is well worth the drive. I am a fan of military aviation, and my wife usually just humors me, but even she found the WW1 hanger tour (and the guide's stories) so interesting that didn't want to leave. We are going back next trip to VA Beach and spending an entire day.

If you or a member of your family loves planes, this is the place to go. Hard to believe it is a private collection. We took a family member who has been an airplane junkie for 40+ years who has seen and experienced a lot in the aviation world, and he was giddy with excitement. For the rest of us, we were mildly interested, but for those who are hobbyists, it is heaven!

“One of the best static displays!”
Reviewed December 30, 2013

This is a very well-preserved privately-owned museum displaying aircraft from all over the world….US, England, Russia, France and a reconstructed Luftwaffe hangar containing various Nazi German aircraft. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and forthcoming with answering any questions. Most aircraft were flight-ready. They also have the only Mosquito in existence. A must-see for pilots or anyone remotely interested in aviation.

“Go... go, GO!!!”
Reviewed December 23, 2013

We spent four solid hours here and only quit because we got cold (it was December!). You will never see more different kinds of airplanes (American, Russian, German, Japanese, etc)--and you will never be guided by more knowledgeable and enthusiastic experts, many of whom flew planes like these. Amazing! A must-see for adults and older children in the Virginia Beach area. Just looking at the insides of the hangars alone is worth the price! By golly, I'll go again when I get the chance...
