Ramada Virginia Beach Oceanfront

Staff were very helpful. Nice view of the ocean and boardwalk. Only negative comment is that there is no microwave and fridge. Not good for a long stays as you will be forced to eat out everyday. Good for 1 or 2 night stay unless you have the means to eat out for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday.

The place was right on the water, which was nice.

But, the staff was less than polite or well informed. The shower had the previous guests hair on the walls.

Not impressed.

Great location, adorable view to the ocean, free parking right across the street from the hotel. Building is old but well maintained. Very comfortable bed, clean room and huge amount of towels in the bathroom . Housekeeping, maintenance and all front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Pete who went above and beyond to make the stay unforgettable.
The restaurant downstairs was good and staff were very friendly. It would be nice if the restaurant start using the glassware to serve sodas and liquor instead of plastic cups but even with that everything was perfect.
Will definitely come and stay at this hotel in the future.

Check-in was great, we arrived very early (9 am) and planned to get a parking pass and spend the day on the beach until our room was ready. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our room was available, so we checked in early. The front desk staff was very friendly and courteous.

We were assigned room 601 (north end of the hotel) which had a very nice view of the boardwalk. The room was OK, but it seriously needs an update. Soft/saggy mattress, small bathroom with ugly pipes exposed below the sink, and a small jetted tub (we paid extra for the jetted tub thinking it would fit two people, but it barely fit one person). Things got bad when the sun went down. Apparently they play live music every weekend on the street beside our room next to their restaurant. The music was VERY loud and didn't stop until about 11 pm, making it impossible to sleep. If you want a quieter room, stay at the south end of the hotel... but don't expect to sleep with your balcony door open or you'll still hear the live music. We requested a late check-out which was granted. Great staff, their restaurant (Mahi Mah's) is excellent, but the rooms need updating. We paid $230/night and were expecting a lot more for that price.

Room Tip: Stay on the south end of the hotel to avoid the live music that plays next to the north.
