Ramada Virginia Beach Oceanfront
Ranked #31 of 109 Hotels in Virginia Beach
Reviewed August 8, 2012

Our stay was absolutely terrible. We were not in the room 12 hours before discovering that there was a cockroach infestation. The man at the front desk gave us the option to use a can of bug spray and wait for the morning for it to be taken care of. This was completely unacceptable. He was also unwilling to help us find another hotel to stay at. He told us we were "free to go" at around 1:30 am. Having no other option, were forced to drive through the night back home which is 9 hours away. What a terrible vacation we had at the hands of your hotel. To make matters worse, the hotel gave us a phone number to contact the manager and ensures would be properly refunded. We have made two calls and left messages. He has not returned our calls. Needless to say, we will never return to a ramada again. Especially the one in Virginia beach oceanfront.

I was a little skeptical after reading the post, but once we arrived and saw the Ramada we decided to extend our two night stay to three. I'm from the northeast so finding a hotel on the ocean for under 230 a night was great. I don' know what people mean about the staff they were AWESOME!!!!! Like I said we were booked for two nights, we stayed for three, they worked with us upgraded us to a king suit, charged the rate we had for the smaller king for our original two nights and gave us AAA discount for the third. The hotel is nice, you have to go in knowing its not a 5 star hotel. When I saw the small pillows I said what r these, there where five of them, when I put my head on them OMG they were so comfy, so was the bed, and the sound of the waves crashing outside put me to sleeps in seconds!!!! If you are a Wyndham resort member or have AAA you can get a larger room for less, our king was awesome . The view breathtaking. So if you like it, see for yourself. Make your own decision. We did and loved it!!

Room Tip: Use AAA or join Wyndham -All rooms r good try To get third floor or higher better view

Wonderful time. Everything was great except the late check in time. 4:pm. Check out is 11:00 am. Such a huge gap. It's not like the entire hotel checks out during the week or weekend. Over all , very good hotel.

irst to reach the hotel room you do not know, you wait an hour for your room that very bad presentation. second room service is very bad in my five days entered only once and made the beds, and only ask if you need anything, I play out the trash and put out that the service charge they note the reluctance to do their job, I never changed the covers of the bed, let alone towels. the air conditioning system very bad in the room q I played with two beds q touches the person next to the air conditioning did not sleep the noise is awful cold but the fridge does not have not have a microwave oven. The only highlight of the hotel and restaurant overlooking the sea. in my five visits to Virginia is the first to give a bad hotel service. ramada only name I've been to other hotels more affordable and better services and are not renowned as this

I was surprised that the room that I reserved was not available when we got there. They had the room avaialable the next day. No wifi in the first room, moved to another room and got spotty coverage with wifi. We were on the 7th Floor near the central elevators.

This hotel is ideally located when you want to swim in the ocean and enjoy views on the beach and ocean. Several restaurants close by and the hotel staff provides you with this information.
