We were renting a place across the street in Sandbridge for the winter and had waited patiently for Baja to reopen after their winter vacation. In the meantime, we were trying some of the best restaurants in Virginia Beach. After visiting Baja last night, we found out that the best meal we've had all winter was just a few steps away. Sadly, our vacation is ending and we'll be headed home to Asheville in a few weeks but we will come back for more, for sure! We had crab fritters, shrimp tacos, fried chicken wrap and my indulgence, smoked gouda mac and cheese! At the end of dinner I asked for a cup of tea, and was served Tazo tea, one of my favorites. The walk back home was a happy one. PS: The restaurant sits on the bay with great sunsets. It is a little longer drive coming out to Sandbridge but I promise it is worth it. (I forgot to mention we were each given a free cup of she-crab soup because we got there before 6:30.)
