“Very Nice!”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

We stayed at the Chesapeake Inn for 2 nights during August 2013. We found the Inn to be very clean and well maintained. The rooms were equally nice. We liked all of the nautical decorations. The rooms were quiet and spacious. You can walk to shops, restaurants and the town marina. The Chesapeake Inn staff was very friendly and always had time to chat. Urbanna is a quaint waterfront town. We agree with the description "Mayberry with a Marina".

My wife and I spent father's day weekend at The Chesapeake Inn. The room was great, comfortable bed, beautiful décor, bathroom was great.

It was very well located and convenient to three different restaurants, (we tried all three).
There was also great shopping and sights all within walking distance.
I would highly recommend this hotel and Urbanna for a getaway.

My girlfriend and I just stayed at the Chesapeake Inn for the weekend and had a great time. Our weekend was a getaway prompted by a great Living Social deal and my Birthday. We arrived on Friday night, had a great dinner at Ostra and got a good nights sleep. We headed out to walk around the town on Saturday, had breakfast in town and then went to the Farmers Market where we bought cheese and fruit for our winery tours that day. A group of us then drove about 35 minutes and visited 4 wineries concluding our day at The Dog and Oyster Winery. We had a great time in Urbanna and would recommend staying at the Chesapeake Inn if you visit anytime soon.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Parrot Room which was very well decorated and was on the front side of the building...

This place is beautifully decorated and very clean. I just wish more of the shops had been open past 5pm as I'd love to support local businesses. It's a great location for visiting more small towns along the Rappahannock and Chesapeake Bay. I would definitely come back here and would refer this place to my family and friends.

I found the Inn through Living Social. The pictures caught my eye while scrolling through the millions of emails from groupon and Living Social I get daily. There's something relaxing about a Port Town and something even more relaxing about the environment and people in this town. I went with my boyfriend in May and stayed for a long weekend. We're from Philadelphia so the pace was much slower here. This vacation was everything we could have asked for with our fast paced life we were able to just wake up and enjoy life around us together. Angela was so very helpful as well as Jennifer who owns the furniture store next door. (Also the interior decorator for the beautiful rooms). When we pulled up I would agree with some of the comments below; you don't think much of it, but as we settled in after opening our door we were so pleased with the comfort level and cleanliness (two very important characteristics) we look for when we're going away. We hope to make this a tradition each year.

Room Tip: We were in room one the layout was great we were in our own little corner with a cute high top table...

Wonderful Inn - redone - very clean & chic! Even a full sized fridge. Super town loaded with wonderful trendy shops. Even fun thrift stores. Angela, the Innkeeper, is very attentive and makes everyone feel right at home! A lovely experience.

Room Tip: Ocean Breeze Room is very lovely - blue and calming - plus ample in size.

The Chesapeake Inn is obviously an old motel that has been beautifully redone. Our room was lovely, the bed very comfortable, and there is a full sized refrigerator. The inn is very quiet- we slept like logs! The town of Urbanna is charming and very walkable. Everyone we met was caring and friendly. Can't wait to go back!
