I visited VA on a week long business trip. My stay at the Sheraton was pleasant for the most parts. The rooms have been renovated a few years back. The staff in the hotel are very accommodating, especially Melissa the Business Travel Manager, and Tony at the front desk :-)
Whenever I'm checking in to the Sheraton at Tysons Corner, I ask for access to the club on the 24th floor. It's the best hideaway ever before you start your day or after a long day. The staff at the club are second to none. They make you feel right at home.
Brix and Ale is a good restaurant, and they have a stuffed bar, as far as the service at the Brix and Ale.. there is a lot to be desired.
All is all, a great hotel for the business traveler..

Room Tip: Tower Rooms are the good. 16th Floor and up are better. 24th floor has the best rooms.

Dear E A K,
Thank you sincerely for leaving a review for the Sheraton Tysons. We agree that we boast one of the best locations in Tysons near the Silver line Metro public transportation, and many restaurants and shopping places. As you mentioned we feel the same way about our staff as they are second to none. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us, and we are looking forward to welcoming you back soon.
Sincerely,

We were here for a high school reunion and all the events appeared to be perfect. The hotel did an excellent job. The two dinners that were part of the reunion were both surprisingly good. One was a buffet the other a sit down dinner. We also had an excellent plated breakfast but I was a little too hung over to really enjoy it.
Our room was really spacious and very clean and comfortable. There is a wooded jogging path about a block behind the hotel. They are working on it right now so it is better to go early or after 5:00pm.The hotel is very accommodating about shuttleing guests to the metro and the nearby really nice malls. The metro station will open at the end of July just across the street.
The cocktails were pretty expensive but their craft beers were only $5.00.
We did not eat in their grill but there are some really good restaurants nearby such as Legal Seafood and Clydes. Across the street is Smashburger, Moby Dicks and Noodles and Co., also a 24 hr. Walmart. You are about 30 mins. from the Washington Mall.

Room Tip: we had a corner room which has an interesting shape.

Dear tequila777,
Thank you for staying with us and recommending our hotel to future guests! Hosting your reunion was our pleasure as we all enjoyed meeting everyone from the group! I was glad to know that you had such a great experience all around with our staff and our location right next to the Metro stop which has officially opened on July 26 was convenient. A perfect 5 means a lot and we appreciate the score! We look forward to your next visit and wish you the best for the next reunion.
Sincerely,

I stayed at this beautiful hotel from 9-13 July 2014. I was there for a reunion. The room I had was on the 15th floor and I had a wonderful night time view overlooking the commuter train tracks and the well lit local area.
My room was well appointed. The bed was incredibly comfortable. All the lamps worked, there was a huge closet, a large bathroom, and free bottles of water. I did not have a refrigerator but the ice machine was just around the corner from my room.
The television did not have any free movie channels. FOX Cable News was not listed on the hotel's station list but after a thorough search I found it. MSNBC and CNN were on the menu, so maybe a liberal wrote the menu.
The lady who cared for my room, Clara, did an outstanding job.
I ate the breakfast buffet my second day there. The food was excellent and the price was right. I am thankful that I am not a drinker. Mixed drinks were outrageously priced at about $9.50 a drink. For the price of two drinks my friends went out to an ABC store and bought their alcohol. Beers are priced at about $5.00 apiece.
The is a 24-hour Wal-Mart grocery store 50 yards from the hotel which is very convenient.
There are a few fast food places nearby. It is my understanding that SmashBergers and the local kabob places served good food. Please refrain from eating at Noodles. Jesus, it takes a real effort to screw up pasta. However, Noodles must have had years of practice. Sour pasta and meatballs? I have eaten tastier C-Rations.
At the reception desk is a young lady named Marina. She is the best ambassador the hotel has. She is friendly, kind, and very knowledgeable. Really, the entire staff is very professional and kind.
The elevators are fast. Three are available to take passengers to rooms located in the tower. If you have the option, get a room in the tower. The hotel has two pools, indoor, and you guessed it, an outdoor pool. Next to the indoor pool is a jacuzzi. I tried to visit the indoor pool whenever the Saudi Arabian Airlines' attendants were using the pools. There was more pulchritude among these ladies than is found in a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.
The hotel is very close to the subway station that is due to open in late July 2014. This train will take you in 30 minutes to the Mall and the Smithsonian Museums for $9.20 round trip.

Room Tip: Get a room in the tower.

Overall the hotel was very nice. We especially enjoyed the club lounge which was run very well with a nice view from the top floor. We also had a couple of good meals at the hotel restaurant where the service was good both times. Right now, this hotel is very convenient to the airport but not so much to downtown, but that is changing in a couple of weeks. When the new silver metro line opens, this hotel will be super convenient to anywhere !!

Only complaint was at the indoor pool. They actually had a lifeguard there which you don't see often. The pool was clearly and appropriately marked as "No Diving", but when my kids went into the pool, the lifeguard insisted that there was no jumping allowed either ? So, the kids were pretty bummed about the no fun in the pool atmosphere. This is probably a better business hotel than family hotel anyway.

This property has just been overhauled from top to bottom and results are excellent.

The front end staff were very prompt, responsible, courteous, and dependable. I cannot say the same for the dining facilities, although they had a limited menu, and also breakfast buffet, it was catch as catch can a wait staff person. Some things were not quickly refilled when out on the buffet line and in one particular case they stated they run out on or about 9 AM that morning. If you are going to run a particular item make sure you have it on hand for the duration. Not enough wait staff to cover the dining area, even with buffet line in operation, where people waited on themselves.
I still give it a foour
