For years, I have passed Da Domenico’s while in Tysons. Its next to Clydes and close to Flemmings. There always seemed to be crowded; so my wife and friends went there.
Came early. Dress was listed as “ business casual”. We sat next to some guys with t-shirts and shorts. So much for that.
Menu was varied. Waited tried to push us all into the Veal Chop. We all had other dishes.
Lobster Bisque had too much “brandy” or other additive. The veal marsalla had also too much wine in sauce. The carbonera was OK with way too much ham or bacon. Veal with sherry cream sauce was very good. Our other diner had mussels and something else ( can’t remember). He enjoyed it very muck.
On several occasions , the owner sang to a table. Glad it wasn’t ours. He should tone down the volume. Diners enjoyed it, though I think most thought it was funny.
Deserts were very good, although a little PRICEY. I am one to pay more for a great desert.
Waiter was good through the meal. After serving deserts and coffee, he was no where to be found. This is common in many restaurants.
Not sure we will return. The food was good, but nothing exceptional.
