“As expected for TGI Friday's.”
Review of TGI Fridays

TGI Fridays
Ranked #63 of 102 Restaurants in Tysons Corner
Cuisines: American
Description: In Manhattan in 1965, there was no place where people could go out to meet friends and make new ones in an environment that was at once both relaxed and yet exciting. Then, Alan Stillman opened Fridays as a way, he said, "to meet Pan Am stewardesses." Suddenly, there was a place with great food, new and exciting drinks and an electric energy. A place where bartenders mixed the environment just as well as they mixed drinks. In short, a place like nowhere else. Today, Fridays in Mclean, VA is still America's most iconic bar and grill. We embrace and celebrate our heritage as a bar. One that just happens to serve killer food in an environment where it's always Friday.

The service was good. The food was okay, except that my husband wasn't crazy about his french dip sandwich. The au jus was salty and too oniony-tasting. We had potato skins and they were fresh and hot. My food was okay - the chicken tasted good but the rice was dry and flavorless. Friday's has become a "nothing special" restaurant for us that at least gives us what we expect and fills us up when we're hungry.

Hubby and I decided to venture out to this area to see what the shopping was like. Stopped in to eat here. Wasn't real crowded, as we were their on weekend before everyone else ventured out.
Portions were nice. Our waiter was wonderful. No complaints with finger foods we ordered.
Menu was typical and not high priced hype like others in area. That being said I like bang for my buck, and I don't like paying for high priced junk.
This was a welcomed stop, not disappointed. Great to eat good food both filling, fresh, and adequately priced.

We went on a Saturday and shockingly, it was not full at all. We did not have to wait to be seated. The food was very decent in design and taste. Food was served in an acceptable amount of time. The only suggestion we have is for restaurants to return to the custom style of serving bread or another pre-appetizer starter. Now-a-days, restaurants have faded away from providing guests with something to start off with; i.e. bread, peanuts, etc.

A party of four, we were in a hurry to see a movie and Friday's was our only option. They served us quickly knowing our limited time.....even celebrating someone's birthday with ice cream! Food was decent. Thursday special on ribs was a great deal for my husband and Cesar Salad with Salmon for me was great. Waiter was pleasant and efficient. It Worked!
