Rooms are small but as a Platinum member, I was upgraded to a junior suite that had an alcove sitting area with TV, which was a bit strange as the bedroom's TV could have swiveled to watch in the alcove.

Room was clean and well appointed, A/C blew strong and cold and Concierge Lounge was fine with morning breakfast having rotating main items. Gym was small but had basic equimpment, upgright bicycle did not have straps to keep your feet on the pedal, though. Indoor pool was off of the gym.

Overall fine for a few nights, but I believe that a family would certainly feel cramped in the room.

Overnight parking is $6 but for a suburban location, it should be complimentary.

The Tyson's Corner Marriott is a fantastic place to stay. The hotel is modern, clean, and up to date. You can get a great steak at Shula's steak house located across the lobby from the registration desk. One negative - they charge $6 per day to park. The staff at the Tyson's Corner Marriott work wonderfully as a team to make you feel welcome and appreciated. The rooms are excellently appointed however, a tad on the small size. One area where Marriott excels is in consistency - you will be pleasantly surprised. Conveniently located near The Tyson's Galleria and The Tyson's Mall this hotel is close to some of the finest shopping locations on the east coast. If you are fortunate enough to have access to the concierge lounge you will appreciate their nicely appointed lounge with breakfast and evening service Sunday evening through Friday morning. The fitness center has new high quality Life Fitness Treadmills, Elliptical trainers, Bikes with minimal dumbbells and universal equipment.

My second time staying here and I absolutely love this hotel! The rooms are very comfortable, and the beds are amazing, you just want to stay in bed! The entire staff delivers optimum service. The engineer, Kho was helpful, and always smiling. Srey, one of the breakfast attendants, was fantastic! After our first day, she remembered the table we liked, and our drink orders. Wish I could start every morning with a warm greeting from her! This hotel is top notch in service, cleanliness, and comfort!

Nice property with friendly staff and located close to all the shopping and dining you'll want while here. Great steakhouse downstairs so that was definitely a highlight. Just stayed here for a nice but had a nice upgrade. Concierge's lounge, although small, had some great sausage in the morning! Definitely will be back!

Yes, the rooms are smaller than an average Marriott but the rest of the hotel is top notch. Traveling alone, I didn't mind the smaller rooms but if I was with my family, I wouldn't stay here... as it is much smaller than comparatives. However, the lounge is outstanding as normal with excellent food, hors doevres, drinks. Also, a great workout area and pool... free weights, lots of treadmills/elliptical for those needing the workout. For business travel, I like it... for family, wouldn't do it cause of the small rooms. Rooms were quiet, well appointed, good beds, etc. just small.

We are a family with 2 school aged kids and have stayed twice overnight at this hotel in the last year. We wanted a place close to the mall so we could hit the American Girl and Lego stores and were embarking for points south the next day, so the location and parking-included rate was ideal for those purposes. We'd not choose to stay here if we wanted to tour DC, as the location does not lend itself to easy access to the city. The rooms are pleasing, neat, and certainly up to Marriott business standards in appearance but not exceptional. We were able to add a roll-away bed to our double room and appreciate the prompt response of staff to that request. Pillows were a bit squashy. We ate in the restaurant for the breakfast buffet, which was included in our room rate. We would have passed otherwise as we thought it was a bit pricey, though we had no complaints about the offerings. All in all, this is a good stop along the way.

The hotel is stunning but my room felt a little tight. I was surprised that I had to pay for the wifi given the overall price. Another 'down' was that you couldn't get to anywhere local without a taxi, and you can't run as the roads are limiting. However, wonderful fitness sweet and breakfast - essential for the jet lagged business man. I'll rfeturn.
