Pomegranet Martini - YUM. French Onion soup - yum. Calamari - please give me marinara sauce not cocktail sauce w/ it. Server named pedro in the bar area- SUCKS, Christian- YAY! Manager wasn't very cooperative until I got in his face about tab charges. Spider in napkin and hair in steak salad. Overall - 1 thumbs DOWN.

Steak there was SO good. Dessert was delicious. Not too fancy smancy of a place to go to for steak; nice and casual.

“Worth a second visit”
Reviewed May 12, 2008

We went for lunch on Mother's Day. We had reservations and were seated promptly. Service was slow from the very beginning. Our server seemed to have two entirely separate sections of the restaurant that he was taking care of. Our server was most pleasant - just had too much on his plate. We ordered the house chopped salad - which by it's description sounded excellent but was just so so. More lettuce than toppings and the lettuce was browned and just your basic iceberg type for the most part. Appetizers and entrees were a little better - the barbeque was good. We would head back for another try, not on a holiday, and one of us would get the barbeque for sure. Service was so slow that after waiting for about 1/2 hour for dessert menus, we just opted to pay and leave. The main dining room is very large and loud - where the kitchen is. Our next trip we'll opt for a quieter table in the bar area.

“Great Prime Rib and Filet and that's about it.”
Reviewed March 2, 2008

The steaks were great. But, the room of tables we sat was underwhelming. I was not impressed by the openness of the area especially when the restaurant touts a "warmth" and "aura of a 1940's dinner club" - not so. I was expecting something intimate but you have to request a private booth for some of that romantic, throwback ambiance. Jazz music is piped in throughout which I really liked but that's as 1940's as it gets. The price of the steaks were reasonable but they stick you with ala carte and top shelf drinks which added up to be a $110 dinner for two.

We were sat in front of the kitchen door and I asked to move immediately upon seeing huge platters of steak dinners floating precariously above our heads by intense waitstaff. Another group after us also deferred from sitting at the table and if the restaurant had just stuck a pillar in that spot, it would have added more privacy and better ambiance to this dining hall experience. Round tables instead of square would also add to the 1940's aura but the whole restaurant seemed like a sad attempt to not be a chain restaurant.

To me, this restaurant was overpriced and did not really deliver what I thought would - a whole dining experience. I would go back for steaks, only, the sides weren't impressive. The waitstaff were attentive and always on top of it so that was a huge plus.
