We stayed 5 nights over Christmas. What an amazing location. Stunning scenery surrounds the cabin, ponds and river. My husband says it was the best river fly-fishing he has ever experienced. For me, the quiet & very comfortable cabin was a perfect get away from the noise of the city where we live. The owner could not of been more helpful. The Shenandoah National Park is so accessible and has trails for all abilities. We will definitely be booking another stay.
Nestled in the shadow of Old Rag mountain, this was a peaceful retreat. One-of-a-kind accommodation with 17' ceilings and handcrafted furnishings carrying the RRF brand. Attentive owner and the location cannot be beat! Wish I were a fisher-person and could partake of what looks like the best fly-fishing around.
The yurts are in great shape, well furnished, and offer terrific views of the countryside. Even with a 5 and 7 year old there was plenty to do with fishing, hiking, and a camp fire with s'mores. I highly recommend the yurts at Rose River Farm and will definitely stay there again!
Brought another couple who had never fly fished before and they had a wonderful time. The cabins are beautiful and Douglas the owner is very responsive with any needs you may have. This was my third stay at the cabins and each time has been wonderful. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a relaxing a peaceful getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay, these are first class accommodations. The time there gave us every bit
of relaxation we could want. We were mesmerized by the firepit, mountain, sunrise and sunset views and stars. The nearby winery was great. Excellent hiking nearby. Will be back for certain.
Love this place. We stayed at pond view cabin. Clean, quiet, relaxing, they pretty much provided everything. Wood logs, coffee beans, coffee grinder, bbq tools and grill, toaster, extra blankets and pillows, salt pepper, fridge with ice maker, cocktail shaker, plates bowls, baking sheet and nice body soap with oats.
You do need to buy charcoal if u want to grill.
The entrance to the yurt is marked by a huge red mill thing( see picture).
We were in town for a cousin's wedding at a local vineyard. We were travelling from about 250 miles away with our two young children. Our family had blocked off rooms at a local chain hotel, but we wanted something different from the usual hotel room stay - and we found it!
We stayed at the Pond View Cabin. The cabin was beautifully designed and immaculately maintained. The front room was spacious and so comfortable, the kitchen area was spotless, as were the two bathrooms, and the bedrooms were comfortable and roomy. The window at the peak of the cabin provided awesome sunlight during the day. We had everything we needed there - and the owner was very responsive to questions we emailed him during our stay.
Cellular reception is poor, but wi-fi at the cabin allowed us to stay just connected enough to be able to communicate with our family over the weekend.
What an amazing view of the mountains! I will miss seeing that every morning. The pond was full of frogs that my boys loved meeting, The view of the stars at night was unbelievable, and the firepit was perfect. We would definitely stay here again!!
Thanks Rose River Farm!!!
