Very nice stay. 3rd floor king room was nice size , clean and comfortable. Very accommodating staff. Stairs could be daunting for elderly or handicapped. Dining room was lovely. The bar appeared to be nice. Prices were reasonable to cheap on the menu. Many quaint civil war era prints hanging throughout the hotel. Adequate parking in the hotel lot or on the street.

We love to visit unusual historic hotels. This hotel was up to all our expectations. Although the room is small it had all the amenities. The hotel is a a gem. The bed was great, service and staff very accommodating. A wonderful restaurant. It felt like a hotel we would use in Europe. The price was also very reasonable. it is also fun to see the doors open to the unused rooms like a B&B to compare and note for further reference. We had a room on the 3rd floor so with no elevator had to cart our bags up the two flight of stairs but that adds to the charm.

This hotel has lots of history. The rooms are very nicely furnished. The breakfasts and dinners were tasty and inexpensive. The dining room is full of cherished items of the past. The Depot (hotel bar) was fun and entertaining with live music the night we were there. A large porch was comfortable for sitting with a drink in the evening. The staff was helpful, pleasant and took the time to help us decide where to explore first. The parking is convenient. The only drawback was that there are no elevators and the steps are a little steep just as they were in older times. Overall we had a wonderful time and enjoyed every minute.

Room Tip: . Rooms on the 2nd floor are the same as the 3rd floor but the 3rd floor has steep steps.

Historic hotel built in 1902 and well maintained. It gushes Victorian from the entranceway and throughout the well decorated facility. We were on third floor. Its walkup but not bad stairs. Wonderfully appointed room. Brass bed, antique armoire very fitting to the theme. We had a dormer window so the roofline over the bed was low. Brick chimney running through the room added character. Bathroom fully modernized. Best shower head ever at a hotel. Luxurious full waterflow probably wasted gallons but felt great. The room was very clean and brightly lit. Comfortable bedding and crisp clean linens and towels.

There is a fine restaurant on first floor as is a popular tavern offering later evening fare of burgers and such. Both well worth the visit.

Despite the age, there was no "old inn" mustiness, no creaking floors, no plumbing issues. The well kept condition belies the age of this jewel.

The small town of Strasburg was our jumping on point to the Shenandoah region and Skyline Drive. I highly recommend this hotel over of the modern chains. Delightful stay in a charming town in a wonderful small hotel. It made for a perfect early fall weekend.

The Hotel Strasburg is a jem in disguise. This is a small, old style hotel that doesn't try to be more than it is. The staff is attentive, friendly and very efficient. The rooms are traditional hotel rooms but have the amenities that you would expect in more modern properties. Cable TV and WiFi and an awsome bath with a wonderful, full flowing shower. Food service is excellent and the price is right.

This hotel is a step back in time, in all the right ways. Back in the late '80s, I traveled in Europe with my father. This hotel could have been one of a dozen small-town hotels we stayed in through England, France and northern Italy.

It's an impeccably maintained, small hotel from the age when doors were opened by keys, not cards. The staff were helpful, the room was quaint, the shower surprisingly good for a hotel of it's age. It you value character over the latest gadgets, book yourself in.

We booked a room in the Hotel Strasburg through Groupon. It was a good deal and fit with our plan to visit Strasburg where my husband's mother was from. We visited the cemetery, her childhood farm in Middletown, and did a Trail Ride at nearby Secret Passage Ranch.
The rooms are comfortable and have antiques and knick knacks from the 40's and 50's. The dining room was spacious and filled with one of a kind wooden dining tables--round, square and oblong. They furnish a continental breakfast with the room which was adequate with cereal, fruit, juice, coffee, pastries, English muffins and Bagels. The pancakes we ordered off the menu were not good but the eggs and bacon were.
It was neat to stay in such an old hotel and be able to walk around town to the shops.

Room Tip: There was a very spacious King Room on the 3rd floor which I wish we could have had. There are no e...
