Great hotel for a weekend in Shenandoah County. The town is very pretty, great antiques mall within walking distance, etc. The hotel restaurant has to be the best value for the money that I have seen in years. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. One quibble: their router has to be reset occasionally (phone the front desk), and their cable TV is voluminous but (like most hotel cable TV systems in VA/MD) doesn't have MASN, so one cannot watch the Nationals or Orioles.

Spectacular Hotel, decorated in antiques, very friendly and accommodating! The location is great for a northern VA trip. We will return! There was also a great walking path a few blocks from the hotel where I could walk my golden retriever!

Room Tip: Not all rooms have showers - some have only tubs. Also, not all rooms have great tv reception.

We booked the hotel from the road the very same day, arrived there later than expected and were thrilled to find this little gem in the middle of a historic little town. The hostess was very friendly, and though it was 9 p.m. and the restaurant was alreay closed, she made it a point to keep the pub kitchen open for us, which was very much needed after a long day's drive. The food was yummy and the beer very refreshing. The room was clean, comfortable and adorable. A continental breakfast was included in the price and we could order more a la carte, which we liked very much. So basically coffee, juice, breads and fruit were free, and we ordered extra eggs and bacon and sausage. We will definitely be back if we happen to be in the area.

I spent an enjoyable 3 nights in beautiful Strasburg, Va. at the Hotel Strasburg. The rooms are all done in the late 1800's decorum. The meals were lovely and you’re right in the middle of the Valley. For the Civil War enthusiast it’s a great place to stay because you can go up and down the Valley.

I stayed one night, arrived late. Although they had not yet received my reservation from Expedia, they were able to give me a room. A nice place, good for a romantic weekend getaway. Note that the bed's may be of the same era. Mine was kind of short. I slept fine though.

Good price. Good value.
