If you are anywhere close to this place, just go. Expensive and worth every penny.
This was our second visit. Wrath Chardonnay was our wine of choice.
We had 3 of their small plate starters. Mixed Fries, Jalapeno Hush-Puppies and Korean Cucumber Salad. All awesome, but the hush-puppies got better later.
For our main we had the Kobe Carpaccio and the Medium Modern Korean Scallops. The carpaccio just melts in your mouth. Topped with a semi-sweet glaze and a few pink peppercorns, it is a VERY nice dish.
The scallops....where to start....They are first off, cooked perfectly. They are topped with an herb-orange foam and they sit on top of a very lightly fried slice of sweet potato that is then glazed with a sesame/honey mix. Under the sweet potatoes is this HEAVENLY mayo and pea puree. This combination is maybe the best single bite of food I have ever had. I am now making these at home for special meals. And I said the hush-puppies got better? Take them, and dip into the mayo from the scallops and you have yet another perfect little bite!
The combo of the three starters plus the small and medium main is likely not enough if you are very hungry but fit us fine that evening.
With tip, this put us a little over $110. Like I said expensive, but I would do it all over again tomorrow. Reservations are MUST. Don't bother trying to show up and get seated. MAYBE at the bar, but you are better off getting a res.
