This IHOP seems to have great difficulty retaining quality employees. While we do not visit often, we can expect mixed results with the service staff. On the last occasion, this past Tuesday, we were promptly seated at an unprepared table with syrup dripped in numerous places and no utensils, although at least ten other fully prepared tables were available. Eventually (about 12 minutes), a server came by and provided menus and untensilsand took our beverage orders. When she finally reappeared to clean the table and take our food orders, the outcome was two identical services even though we ordered soomething different. Rather than argue and have the food get cold we ate what we wanted and forgot the rest. She did have the correct orders on the reciept.
On rare occasions we actually get a server who shows some interest in delivering the correct food and is cordial. That however, is the exception.
