My wife and I spent this past weekend at Steele's Tavern celebrating our first wedding anniversary. We spent the first two days of our hoeymoon there. I highly recommend this B&B - it is a wonderful place in a very beautiful part of Virginia. Great food, beautiful rooms, pleaant grounds and great owners.

This was our second time at Ray & Melissa's Steele's Tavern Manor B&B and it was every bit as delightful as our first experience, even with substitute innkeepers Jeannie & Walt! The Viognier Room is beautifully appointed and so very comfortable, including a two person Jacuzzi tub.Modern conveniences like wifi and cable don't spoil the ambiance of the period-style furnishings. The breakfasts have been expertly prepared and presented...French toast souffle, fresh fruit parfaits, quiche, crumb cake, and delicious coffee. We took a stroll around the beautiful grounds and enjoyed attention from the owners' puppy (but who couldn't love a black lab?). Conveniently located just off 81 but far enough out to be a country-style stay at a B&B. Very convenient to Staunton and Lexington. Ray and Melissa make you feel right at home. We look forward to spending another anniversary at Steele's Tavern Manor.

Room Tip: The Viognier room is located with windows on walls facing both the front and side, so you can take i...

We arrived at night to an enchanting large White House with columns in front and 4 or 5 large trees lit up with white lights.. Great touch! Ray greeted us warmly... And we noticed in the foyer a sign saying welcome Greg and Leslie. How thoughtful! Get ready for large ceilings , beautiful wood floors .. Upstairs we stayed in the "petite " room lavender walls, ceiling fan, electric fireplace , sitting room, and modernized bathroom with relaxing large jacuzzi tub... Ray and Melissa were so nice, with giant soft robes, great smelling herbal bath salts even moch 3 razor s ! Lol... They provided refreshments in hall with a Kurig and Brita water , and refreshments... When we were in the room they have direct tv, ports for your smartphone, and homemade cookies by Melissa to die for!! Breakfast was heavenly! Also a big beautiful porch, screened side porch and walking paths! They also have private cabins they rent out! We had a great experience and hope to return!

My husband and I were traveling from New York and wanted to find a place to rest and relax. What a find this Bed and Breakfast was. It is close to I-81 but you would never know it.
It feels as though you are in the middle of the country; peaceful and beautiful setting.

The innkeepers are so nice and make you feel at home. The inn is so immaculate and has such charm. The rooms are immaculate as well; the rooms are designed very tastefully. The bedding is wonderful and you are sure to get a great night sleep on the very high quality bed. The robes in the room were the best we have ever worn at any five star hotel.

It is so peaceful and we slept sound and we were refreshed in the morning to continue are trip.

In the morning the breakfast was so good, good, good need I say more.

Don't miss staying at this wonderful B&B. Whether you are stopping for the night or staying for a romantic weekend it is a five star inn.

The grounds are beautiful; they have a pool which would be great for the summer.

We will be back.

Only regret is that we could not stay longer.

I recently stayed at the Steeles Tavern Manor B&B with my boyfriend for a weekend to get out of DC. It was our first time in the Shenandoah Valley area and we were looking for a B&B that was close to vineyards but had character and charm - we found that at the Steeles Tavern. The owners are LOVELY - you feel instantly at ease as they give you a brief tour of the Inn, let you into your room and invite you to join them for happy hour that evening. The next morning they prepare a wonderful plated breakfast for all of the guests - it was really a treat! Two Governor's Cup winning vineyards are located within a short drive of the Inn and there are excellent restaurants in the area that contend with some of the best DC has to offer. We will definitely be back!

We spent our 44th Wedding Anniversary at Steeles Tavern. We couldn't have picked a better place. The accommodations are superb. Our room was wonderfully decorated, and had all the amenities. The linens and bath towels were luxurious. Ray and Melissa were wonderful host. So warm and inviting. We felt at home immediately. Melissa's breakfasts were wonderful and very filling. We truly enjoyed when Ray and Melissa would join us and the other guest to chat. You could tell they enjoyed having guest at the Tavern and sincerely took an interest in getting to know the guest. The grounds are lovely to walk around. Loved the front porch and rocking chairs. Nice in the morning to have coffee either on the front or side porch. Melissa and Ray knew the area and provided good information on restaurants and area attractions. This B&B is truly a gem. Melissa and Ray take a lot of pride in the Tavern. We loved their new puppy. 5 Stars and would highly recommend Steeles Tavern.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here. The accommodations were fresh, clean and comfortable! No detail was overlooked. Although it is located in a scenic valley, it it very convenient to get to. Our breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. Our thanks to Melissa and Ray for opening this welcoming Inn.
