We have just returned from a two day stay in the Sunset Cottage. It was heavenly. Great mountain view. Very quiet and secluded. The cottage is quite luxurious and very comfortable, especially for a cabin getaway; it comes stocked with lots of thoughtful amenities. We had everything we needed. Situated half way between Staunton and Lexington, there is plenty to do nearby. Or, if you just need to chill, this couldn't be a better choice. We will definitely go back.

Little did we know there existed such a delightful haven for our stressed out souls! The Pondview cottage - a well decorated and comfortably appointed space was welcoming and provided much needed relaxation with the ability to enjoy modern benefits of flatscreen tv, internet access, and a private hot tub, if desired. We happily ate the Godiva chocolates placed on the oversized (and cloud like) king bed -a detail that did not go unnoticed. Admittedly, there's something to be said for enjoying your morning coffee as you sit by a pond that overlooks a peaceful pasture while listening to nature. The reservation process was friendly and accommodating with detailed instructions and helpful hints. If the goal was to provide a cozy cabin with an upscale feel, then mission accomplished!

Last year my boyfriend brought me to Alpine for a long weekend. I was skeptical. I cannot tell you how incredibly beautiful, relaxing, clean and well kept the property is. We stayed in the Sunset cottage and its beautiful. The view of the mountains at sunset is spectacular. so this year for his birthday, I bought him a vacation back at the cabin and we stayed longer. We did things this year that we didn't get to do last year. We relaxed way more. We celebrated his birthday again as well as our engagement!. I couldnt have asked for a better place to celebrate and relax. Every morning we were greeted by little bunnies down the driveway, so cute. We saw deer right outside the front porch at sunrise. Just beautiful. The best.

We celebrated our 2 year anniversary with Alpine Hideaways. At first I wasn't sure about what I was getting into. Sure you see pictures and read reviews, but until you actually step into the place and start your visit you simply won't know what the place is like. To get to the point, it's fantastic. You will feel relaxed and at peace. It's a place where you can stop and smell the roses. This is the place for appreciating one another and enjoying simple things that you don't get to enjoy in the hustle of the metropolitan rat race. Views are beautiful, sounds are classic, local folks were kind, and it's got natural beauty all over. Can you tell I had a good time?..LOL Worth the money, time, and effort to get out to it. People come from all over to stay at this place, just read the Guest Registry. So, our 3 hour drive was nothing.

Room Tip: Hot Tub aka swimming pool is at Ivy Cottage. One of the three total available cottages for Alpine H...

We stayed in the Ivy cottage and the web pictures don't adequately convey how beautiful this cabin is. I could live in it year 'round. It's warm and cozy, yet spacious, and secluded with a beautiful view from the front pourch. The private hot tub on a deck surrounded by woods was the best treat after a day of golf and evening in Lexington.
Ray and Melissa gave us a tour of the main "Manor"...it will open soon...and those rooms are BIG and comfortable.
We'll be back in the Fall to put that fireplace to use.

Room Tip: Any of the cottages, or, upstairs front room of the main house (When it opens).
